Can anyone tell me what I should expect from the dealer? My 8 week old XB12ss has been in the shop for 5 weeks now. The tech has told me he's got no clue as to what's wrong. There waiting to hear back from the factory tech. At first being with out this bike was no big deal but I've sold my old bike and my Jeep's rear end has fried.
I'll be walking in a few days. Should I expect a loaner like at a car dealership?

It depends. I got one, the last time my bike was in. Normally I wouldn't need one, so I didn't ever ask for one. Talk to the dealer GM. But beware, I got a Harley Night Train. It was quite humiliating.

doesn't your warranty cover that, getting a loaner that is.

We in the Atl area are spoiled by a great GM who fights for us a Buellers, Cameron at SMHD/Buell came and delivered a bike to me, picked up my broken bike and had me squared away in 2 days. Now that my friends is service!

Sounds to me like it's time to take your bike to a different shop. There is no valid excuse for having the bike in for that long.

Don't let the dealer walk on you.

I called the dealer today to see about a loaner and to see if they have gotten anywhere with my bike. No loaner. No progress. The service guy said he'ed call Buell again. He said I should call too.
I love this bike and really want it back.

Tdiddy - If you have not called Buell customer service, you need to do so immediately. If you've called in the past and have a case #, you need to call again and see if there is anything that can be done to speed things along. Your bike should not be sitting in the dealer's service department just "waiting to hear back from the factory tech"! Be proactive, be polite, but be forceful!
