You want deer? That was last year. This year didn't go as well. I have only shot 3 so far this year. Last year I think I was at 6 by now. |

Yes, they have. I have been bowhunting for about 18 years now. They have come a long way in 18 years. I get a new one about every 3 years or so now. They advance that fast. |

Jesus! How old is that thing? 25% let off? Didn't know they ever made anything with less than 50% and that was when I was in high school(a loooong time ago) You need a new bow buddy. Mine in the picture above is set at 68lbs but is 85% let off. I have a pretty nice Golden Eagle that is 65% let off and is a 70-80lb draw. I might consider making you a deal on it if you're interested? |

OK I'll ask because I'm sure there are others. What the heck is % let off? |

That is the function of a compound bow. Thru a set of cams or in my case one cam and an idler wheel the bow starts out at say 70 lbs of draw weight. Then, as you draw(pull the bowstring) the bow back the cam rotates and about 3 inches or so from being at full draw(string pulled all the way back) it lowers the poundage to, in my case 15 lbs. So when I am at full draw, I am only holding 15 lbs back, thus allowing me to stay at full draw long enough for the deer to offer me a perfect broadside shot. In Spidey's case, if it really is only a 25% let off bow, he would be holding back 45 lbs therefore he would not be able to hold at full draw as long as I could(assuming we are the same strength) That means he is going to have to wait longer before he draws his bow and drawing the bow when the deer is real close is a good way to get "busted" by them and they take off faster than a S1 or he would be, in some situations, forced to rush his shot. More let off = GOOD |

i got it in 01 it wasn't the most expensive nor the cheapest bow. I am pretty sure it is 25 it could be 50 I'm not exactly sure but I have never had trouble holding her for extended amounts of time... I would love to buy a new one but with what just happened and with school I am strapped |

if you bought it in 01 it is not 25% it is probably at least 50 and more than likely 65% let off. |
