I use that 70-200 all the time. It is a great lens, in fact, the current cover of Four Wheeler is one I shot with that lens and a 10D.

Good job.

I'm done spending on the camera for awhile now (with the exception of a case, filters, and battery grip).

Nice shot Thespive. What a fun ride that would have been!

One can never have enough lenses! Would love to have some "L" glass some day, just can't afford it.

Shot both of these with a Canon EF 28 - 200mm 3.5-5.6 USM on a 20D. I have been real happy with the lens and it tends to be on my camera most of the time.

Bads,

I have the BG-E1 battery grip for my 300D. Looking at the BG-E3 photo above the battery orientation is different and it has two sets of contacts on it.

I guess the 350D XT uses a different battery than the 300D's BP-511 Li-Ion battery packs?

I'm very happy with the battery life on the 300D and I have two but normally only use one at a time.

Indeed,

I've filled up a 2gig card, and haven't even touched the battery life (according to the camera) of just the normal 1.

I've shirted to RAW(NEF) and one of the big differnces is that you'll fill a 1GB card quickly. I've looked at the 8GB but opted for a series of 1GB (cheap at Costo) with a very sophisticated system of marking them "A", "B", "C" and so forth.

Batteries have really come around. My 950 (which I still carry) sucks down batteries at a voracious rate. The Nikon Professional DSLR's, the D100 and D2x will lasts so long you can't recall when you changed the battery.

BTW, I love the battery grip. I can go a full day and never have to worry about battery power, 2000+ pics. Plus it is very ergonomic.

Hey Court, I shoot with 1GB cards too, marked #1, #2, etc. I usually shoot with cargo pants and keep unused cards in the left pocket, and used ones in the right.

Ok, didn't have an opportunity to go to the concert I mentioned, but I went to a nice christmas party for my wife's squadron.

The castle the party was at...
