jack palance was as gritty as they come. he played tough guy's with the best of them.

indeed. i'll remember him most for ripley's believe it or not and the deodorant commercial from tuesday nite fights "confidence is very sexy" - and of course the city slicker movies.
anyone remember his real name? i think he was russian or chech or something.

my bad- he was of ukranian descent, born vladimir palaniuk in pennsylvania....
(hey- vladimir's my confirmation name)...
it appears that charles bronson was also born in pennsylvania, and HE was of lithuanian descent.
his name was charles buchinsky ....(not very lithuanian sounding, though...)
say... is blake's real surname rutinski or blakowskovitch?...
