Here's the story. I order my Buell parts at my local HD ex-buell shops here in Nashville. For the past 2 years they have not sold the bikes but they are happy to sell me parts. They still have alot in stock from the days they used to sell buells. Sometimes they have to order them. They cost the same and have about the same inventory (not much of anything) as my Buell "dealers" each of which are about 45 minutes out of town.

Long story short:
I won a $250 dollar gift certificate from my ex-buell HD dealer I order a bunch of parts and wait five days and go to pick up my order they say "Sorry, buell will not let us order ant more parts. As of last week, you have to be a buell dealer to sell the parts." WTF??

Should I be mad?

Why cant I just order buell parts from any Harley dealer(that wants my business)?

What am I going to do with a $250 dealer gift card, I sure aint buying none of that HD stuff. Buy $250 of SYN3?

Guess I going to be ordering all my stuff from daves now!

Was there a customer standing in line in back of you??? If so chances are he was about to spend more then that on some leather, chrome and knick-knacks. Pay for his stuff with your winnings and then take the cash to the next dealer.

My really local dealership sold Buells until 1997. They can't order parts from Buell either. Luckily for me, Dave is only about 45 minutes away: D: D

Barker,
I hate to tell you but they shouldn't have been able to get Buell parts for the past 2 years either(or however long they have not been a Buell dealer).
You have to be a Buell dealer to get parts for Buells.

That sucks about the 250.00
Best bet is to find someone that needs 250.00 worth of HD parts, go in together
get their parts and then have them pay you the cash.
I'll be by the phone

You can still get HD stuff that fits--oil,filters,plugs,Any of the engine parts that are the same as a Sportster--gaskets etc.

"$250.00 dealer gift card for sale."

$250.00's worth of Syn3 and Formula+ is a very sound plan too.

FMJ says it best,,,,you could make a nice little stash of future needs with that.
