I'll have to check tomorrow at work, but I think I can get a buell flag for about $30.

From the looks of it, somewhere in the desert...over THERE...if you go to his site, he has this picture posted, along with a can of what looks like middle eastern Pepsi...

Hey there
BG I lived in Lubbock for 3 years and you're right - those dust storms are nothing like the ones here. Fortunately they don't happen like this very often but there is a constant coat of grit over and in everything.
Angelwild thats Diet Pepsi. I prefer diet dew but there is none. I'm taking the opportunity to lose a little weight - 15 pounds so far in the last 3 weeks.
There are no bikes here but we do have some ATVs I might commandeer

Absolutely. Lived in an apartment near Texas Tech (can't remember exactly -4th and Indiana maybe-it was a long time ago) before moving on base - 1983-1986. First day there we had a dust storm with tumbleweeds rolling across the road. I couldn't believe it. My wife worked at Highland Hospital and my daughter was born at Methodist Hospital. That was before I became addicted to Buells but still lots of good memories there.

Haha, more Lubbockites! Yep that sand storm looks worse than the West Texas storms, but I bet it doesn't rain in the middle of it and turn into a mud-storm! Nothing like seeing mud drops falling out of the sky.

"Lubbock is a nice place to be from., as far away from as you can get!" Na just kidding, I enjoyed Lubbock it's a unique place. Flat as far as the eye can see, only trees you see are the ones that were brought in and planted with the exception of mesquite, which were mostly plowed under 150 years ago to make room for cotton fields. Has its own beauty though. It's the land of big skies and gorgeous sunsets.

Not much of a place to learn to ride though. Has a few canyons but the twisties are very gentle and the only elevation changes are straight roads coming in and out of the canyons. I learned to ride street bikes at Buffalo Springs Lake.

Hey Dora, did you notice New Enough is in Shallowater just outside of Lubbock. Odd place for one of the leading internet Cycle Gear stores don’t you think?

had no idea that new enough was in shallowater. sheesh, i shoulda stopped by there when i was home back in march! thats the beauty of the internet though - former lubbockites can connect and little shallowater businesses can flourish - and of course buell owners (back on topic) can congregate! : )

That is very cool! Shame there's a war on as I'm sure motorcycles are a common bond amongst all mankind.
