pretty cool bike.

Why are they switching to 800cc engines? Lack of grip/w too much power? Are they going to continue/w the traction control systems they're using?

in theory, they want to slow the bikes down for safety.

in practice, the new bikes will lap faster than the current bikes in a few years if not sooner.

Its great to see Gary McCoy back in the saddle. I hope he makes a good showing.

Kudos to Ducati too for putting the '07 machine out there already.

After the Brno tests, Hopkins commented that he was 'on a mission' to pass the GP7 even with Ducati's test rider on board. The smaller bike carried more corner speed that Hopkin's GSV-R and was only a little down on top speed. Honda unveil their 800cc solution this weekend.

Hopkins would do better to concentrate on improving his race performance. Any web pics of the Honda?

No pics yet - only rumour, conjecture and hypothesis. As the instigators of the capacity change, Honda have done their homework and will no doubt come up with something pretty stunning. Next year, 5-cylinder bikes have a weight penalty compared to 4s but using four of the existing RC211V's cylinders would make a neat 792 cc V4

Update: Hayden & Pedrosa know as much as us...
