It's turned into a long affair... since I'm waiting for someone to post I will give details on my problem... pretty simple.

Friends come over to go riding..
I get suited up...
Insert Key...
Pump winds up...
Hit button...
clk clk clk clk clk...
WTF...
hit button again....
clk clk clk clk clk...

so we jump it..
ride a lil ways...
check engine light...
return home...
dead battery again...
charge battery...
runs...
then check engine light comes on...
couldn't get it to throw any codes manually, so i am trying to check TPS and maybe see if there are any codes registering with vdsts.

anyways... to avoid the low voltage problem with my battery I stole the one off my friends wrecked R6 that is in my garage, and have it installed, with my battery on the charger.

Just awaiting a walkthrough - I can "test" fine, but i am not sure how long it "should" take to connect to the ECM. I don't want to drain the battery by waiting forever if I shouldn't have to.

Nevertheless, any help would be appreciated!

It's brand new (almost) 2006 xb12s around 4K on it.

Ok so what was the problem? Did you try to reset the tps/afv and lower/raise the idle too low or high? Otherwise more info would be useful to others despite your disappointment with BadWeb....

VDSTS = the software for people to reset their own tps/afv/etc. look here:

Ok, the problem with my VDSTS is that it won't connect to my RACE ECM, but it will connect to the STOCK ECM - so I have to send it back to technoresearch to have them update the "dongle".

The problem is my charging system. It Isn't charging my, and is running strictly off the battery. Al and I have come to the conclusion it's most likely my stator.

Note: Currently running Genuine HD 20w50

I was going to do the diagnostic work myself, but I am still under warranty and am going to let the dealer to the work.

For the record : 2006 XB12S w/ 3700 miles (exactly).

I charged the battery, and later I am going to SPRINT to the dealer to drop the bike off. And probably hassle them for 20 minutes or so about getting the bike done today.

I had the same issue last week. Stator cooked and took the regulator with it.

Indeed, just got back from dealership.

Funny thing... when I was re-installing the battery before I left, it must have been defective because it kinda fell apart.

The stator is grounded, and took the regulator with it.

They are replacing everything under warranty, to include the stator/regulator/battery.
