Was walking through local motorcycle dealer showroom (Japanese) at lunchtime. Does anyone besides me draw this mental image when looking at brakes on most cruisers?  "Wees aints got no brakes Bankee!!" | ||

My recently acquired '97 Dyna FXD front brake was grossly underpowered with a single piston caliper. I put a new Hawg Halter four piston caliper on it and now it is pretty good. I think maybe I could lock and skid the front tire on clean dry pavement with four fingers and max effort. I think it has paid for itself once already. If you ask the hard core Harley guys about it they say "they're made to go, not stop". Dumb! But the back brake (dual pistons) will lock the back wheel up pretty easily. It is actually very helpful because the extra weight back there. Jack | ||
