Aaah, who needs an oil tank. I thought these were supposed to be air cooled anyway. This should make a nice winter bike. Your right leg and butt should be warm enough. | ||

Personally I think it looks nice. Was thinking of having them do a system for my Duc Race Bike last year. Pretty pricey though. | ||

 I wonder what it looks like on the other side? The rear cylinder's primary pipe wraps around on the left side of the engine. Doesn't seem as practical as the stock exhaust, but I'm sure the customers for this kind of stuff don't care. (Message edited by djkaplan on September 06, 2006) | ||

Didn't sse that pic. The guy who builds this stuff can really bend some pipe! Not sure how efficient all those bends are for an exhaust, but it sure looks cool. | ||

I think that "Arc Fab" guy is in Laconia, New Hampshire.He's famous for his welding ability.He is also somehow associated with BCM Ducati (famous Duc dealer) and Bruce Meyers(renowned Duc wrench).Supposedly welds/fabs. Titanium exhausts well. I'm aware of the "trilogy of Buells" but,don't think a couple carbon fiber exhaust cans weighs ANYWHERE near my beloved Buell canS. | ||

67-68, 66 was more closely related to the 65 whilst the only difference between the 67 and 68 2+2 was the marker lights in the fender in front of the wheel. sorry had to pull a cliff claven for a moment. please return to your regular scheduled programming... | ||

oops, typo. You're right. I wanted a 67-68 fast back long before the movie. (more than the 64.5-66 since the 67+ had room for a big block.) But since that movie the price of 67-68 fastbacks has gone through the roof. Now the 69's are starting to grow on me. | ||

Somebody correct me if Im wrong, but the buell engines are rubber mounted, as in they bounce around in the frame right? Then, just me thinking here, wouldn't be really hard from keepin the udertail pipe from bending/breaking apart? Or am i missing sumthing here? | ||

Well, the Ghostrider X1's don't need to work long, just long enough to make a movie. And there were 6 "identical" bikes built. Word is that 5 of them survived the filming completely intact. Not sure what became of them, though. They were built and filmed in Australia from used bikes that were sourced there. Note that the first one in the pictures above is a 99 (see front rotor) but the other is a 2000. They had stiffeners in the rear isolators to minimize the flex. I provided some technical assistance on the builds and sold them a bunch of parts to build the bikes. The first one was built start to conceptual finish in just a few days, including the one off pipes and oil tank. The other 5 cloned the first one. Hollywood budgets can get things done in a real hurry. Al |
