1) Was the black XB at the Fremont Kaiser this evening a Badwebber? Mine was the blue Ss. Two Buells out of 4 bikes in the MC parking. What are the odds?

2) Noticed a tire rub mark about mid-center of the front of the chin fairing. Only things I can think caused it was either the small stoppie (rear off a couple of inches before I eased up a bit) I did avoiding a moron in a car, or it somehow happened when I got new tires installed. Do the front forks flex that much ? It really looks like it was a moving tire that touched so I don't think it was the tire installation.

Chances are the scuff mark is from the front wheel chock on the stand where your bike was serviced.

Bet you a dollar it matches right up.

by the way, it's spelled "du jour" but who's checking?

heheh I learned some French in 5th grade, but that's one of the things I remembered, along with h'ors douvres.

I discovered the wheel chock thing when I was loading my bike onto my trailer which has a similar chock to what some shops have. As you roll into it, it locks upward behind the wheel. When I discovered it, the scratch was already there but I notched the wheel chock with a die grinder and took care of it so the next bike wouldn't get the scratch.

They did say that is what they used so it makes sense. And makes me feel way better.

If that's the only scratch you ever get, you're a luckier man than I am!
