By time Carlos got home Tod had a local shop to plug the tire and he's going to have it replaced tomorrow in Beaufort. His truck is in Myrtle Beach, he'll head there after the tire gets changed.

He still has our number in case something falls through.

What could have been a heck of a headache ended up being just a minor setback thanks to the unprecedented hospitality of several N.C. natives including Kristi and Carlos. Got my tire plugged that night , the next morning rode back 40 miles to a bike shop that got me back on the road in 45 minutes and still made my desired ride up the outer banks and back to Myrtle Beach (650 miles in12.5 hours) which was the highlight of my long weekend in the Carolinas. Thanks again guys for your willingness to help out a fellow badwebber if you are ever in S.W. Wisconsin look me up I'll show you some beautiful back roads.

Tod - glad things worked out for you. Carlos travels far from home and I would hope that someone would offer him assistance if he were in need. Next time you come down this way, post on Carolina Corner Carvers. The guys made several runs to the coast this past summer, give them a reason to do it again!
