Now available.
Competition for Buell, maybe?
Looks like any other rice burner to me.
Low on HP and with the Korean motor, the "American" made part is a bit of a stretch.

$7995 MSRP

Price to sell. Sure beats a $100,000 Cysz

I like it. But I have a hard time truely considering it an American bike with a foreign engine.
That's the heart of the whole thing for me...

The motor is what makes a Harley a Harley. It's what makes a Ford a Ford.
Et cetera. Korean motor, korean bike.

I bet it's a POS, and you think our dealer support is bad???? Let's see you get warranty service on that thing.

Sorry. Just had to say that... ;)

Never had a problem with any of my Fords.

Back on subject, what is going on with that split tail anyway? If you're not going to include a passenger seat, then WHY do I need all that real estate out back???

...back up to a swimming pool and you got yourself a diving board.

AND another thing, does that tank look like an uncomfortable pain in the sternum to anyone else?

Who is going to buy this bike? It doesn't look any better than the Hyosung, has the same engine, and costs $1500+ more. But it has an Ohlins Shock. I'm hoping that the Fisher has better fit and finish, and great handling, but I'm a sceptic.

I like the bodywork somewhat... something just completely ruins it for me though. I think it's a combination of the tank and the diving board... I don't like the lead in from the frame to the swing arm...

Good price for an exotic. I think they made the right decision to par back the high-end components to bring the price down. I think it looks pretty good, but beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

"Who is going to buy this bike?"

Anybody who is in the market for a small watercooled v-twin would be crazy not to seriously look at this bike. Hell a Suzuki SV650S is only $1500 cheaper and they are a dime a dozen.

"...with the Korean motor, the "American" made part is a bit of a stretch."

Like Buell, the Fischer is an American bike, but far from "Made in the USA".

I wonder if it would impact Buell sales if you had to put up "advance payment with order" and wait for the bike?

I also, when I try to order, get a message that the only dealers will be in CA.

I seriously doubt if any manufacturer, even one as small as Buell is losing any sleep over the Fischer MRX.

That being said, I'm extremely happy that things seem to be finally progressing for Mr. Fischer. At this price point, I doubt that he will have any problem moving them. I think personally that I would take the new Triumph 675 and still feel pretty exclusive.

No, I'm sure what he meant is how many people would have bought a Buell (or any bike for that matter) that they could not ride home. Or more to the point, actually existed.

"No, I'm sure what he meant is ..."

Yeah I know, Court has made it well known how he feels about Fischer, MotoCzsyz, and Roehr. He will call them wannabe hobbyist, and then he will quote Steve Jobs saying "Genius ship"! Then he will bring up the perimeter brake on the Honda NAS, etc.

Others like myself think the more the merrier!

Sounds like the "Glory Days" of Harley-Davidson: D: D

As for the Fisher....I like it! Kinda looks like the Triumph 675. Which, by the way, is $1000 more with the same torque but with 123HP (at the crank).

I think that split tail with the exhaust would be really hot on the buns.

The styling is so so but I would never buy it due to the engine.

If I had a nickle for every time someone said that about a Buell, I could afford that new MotoCzsyz.

What sane person could have put that sharp angle on the back of the tank? What about those of us who EAT... I'm not fat but that thing would be digging in my gut.

My view? No bike employing an under-powered Korean knock-off of a Japanese low price leader's engine will ever be exotic. Crazy to not consider it? A lot of folks are crazy according to that bizarre definition. I'd say the exact opposite considering the actual prospect of being able to find one, let alone buy it and have it serviced is about nil.

Goofy looking plastic does not an "exotic" make.

That said, my gut could probably handle the pointy gas tank okay. Maybe it would interlock with my navel and aid stability? LOL

"If I had a nickle for every time someone said that about a Buell, I could afford that new MotoCzsyz."

Bullshit. I've heard the exact opposite a lot more. Folks like Buells exactly because of the simple low maintenance, highly efficient, big V-Twin with all its low end power and grunt.

That under-powered knock-off of a Japanese low price leader engine should be downright easy to have serviced.

It's what makes a Ford a Ford.

I appreciate the irony even if nobody else does.

All the new Ford diesels were designed in partnership with PSA, that's Peugeot & Citroen.
The automotive industry is about the most incestuous there is, virtually ALL the manufacturers are in bed with each other on developement.
I see no evil in that if it keeps the costs down, & if it works on bikes too, all to the good.
Don't get me wrong I don't want bland either but it's been proved over & over that you can build vehicles that far exceed the sum of their parts.
I won't condemn it til I've tried it (except for that tank, I think I'll wear a cup) so don't expect a review anytime soon.

Bullshit likewise. Don't get testy Blake, I'm not saying that the Buell's engine is not without merit, but can you honestly say that you have not heard the same thing said towards a Buell hundreds of times.

I was doing a little 'net research on the Hyosung brand. Seems like they've really got the sh!t together. No real long term reviews but the 1-2 month sound promising. No breakdowns and no maintenance.

In the application that Fisher is using, I'd agree that it is under powered. But that same motor is identical to the SV650 in performance and it out performs the Ducati 620 motor but about 10HP. That was according to a comparison test in an Aussie mag.
