Well, after 20 years in Military/Police/Security work (the last 3 years in Iraq) i got a job at my local HD/Buell dealership on the service desk. the pay isnt great but what the heck i get to work around HD's, Buells and many other bikes all day long. I can smell the exhaust fumes already...

Western NY Buellers come on by Cycle stop in Rochester and say Hi!!!

out for now.

Congrats on the transition from military to civilian life! Also thanks for the service!

Be sure to get your V.A. disability rating! It can be important in the future whether you expect it to or not (trust me)
You earned the benefit do not be afraid to use it. I only did 6 yrs in the Navy (87-93) but I'm glad I did!

That definitely hits a soft spot... my dad served with the 101st in Viet Nam. I cherish the Screaming Eagle patch he gave me when I was a kid.

Thanks everyone. i sure wish that the entire 20 was active duty..... now that its over any way.

i would have had a retirement check instead of going through my savings (attorney and exwife sure help that) waiting to get this job for the last three months. I could have done something else but im at a point in my life where my happiness means as much or more than the pay check from a job.

i have had a love of bikes since my first solo ride on a yamaha dirt bike back in the late 70's early 80's and have had at least some kind of motorcycle all of my adult life. now i will have to time to really get to know them and maybe learn much more... all while getting paid to do it.

Cool.

My happy thoughts are being around bikes for work. Something like at Deal's Gap, a dealership that wants to be more Buell, an establishment like NHRS or Pammy's, etc. So congrats!
