Don't know the specs, I'm sure when the articles about the bike appear this info will be available.

Looks like they've reverse-engineered the ill-fated Harley VR1000 Superbike...

Pretty impressive finish for a one-off bike created in only a few months. 757 laps completed! It would be cool if someone could get their hands on an old VR1000 (for handling) and fit a VRod motor in it (for durability) for the new Moto-ST class. Although it probably would'nt be legal. Personally I think the later VR1000 were the most beautiful bikes in the paddock.

Impressive, If it holds up to race use and turning fast laps.

Correct me if I am wrong,
I heard the XB12R and XBRR are turning quicker lap times than the VR1000?

Any truth to that?

Barker, yes that is true. The XBRR is faster than the VR, lap times and top speed. This V-Rod racer is a fun project, but not competitive at all.

"They said it can't be done...."

That is not quite accurate. "They" said that for "them" the result was unacceptably uncompetitive, that the weight and performance were inferior to all current and recent V-Twin racing machines, thus pursuing such a machine made absolutely no sense for "them."

I'm sure the XBRR is probably faster than alot of outdated racers. Outside of some poorly translated text, what makes you so sure that this bike further refined could not be competitive?

It has been proven that you can put a Revo motor in a sportbike frame.I bet that Revo motor could be modded a little and make 150 HP easily, and cut some weight of of it.Compared to a XB,I bet a lot of ppl would find it competitive.

Too bad the XBRR trounced a bunch of GSXR1000s that were heavily modified for the race track while it was winning the endurance race at Road America. Yeah, just a few minutes work and you could prove all those Buell and H-D guys wrong at the factory, no doubt you know so much more than they do. Too bad you are wrong all the time, little Poop. Now go get your diaper changed and your wittle nose wiped.

hey,Jscott, you will find everytime the "facts" about Buell are contradicted, the Anony usually loses his cool, tells you alot about him, whoever he is.Like those supposed orks that the japanese where using that cost more than the XBRR,but when a few XBRR's where seen with the same forks, they were $10,000.

Not all Anons are created equal. Not sure what in this topic has to do with the XBRR though.

Orks? Where's Gandalf when you need him.

It is true that Anony is a name that covers several personalities. I see nothing wrong with Anony expressing contempt. Freedom of speech. If Pup doesn't like it, he can deal.

Anony do you put Tobasco on your waffles? I'll bet you do.

Anony,I looked up that endurance race at Road America, didn't see one GSXR1000 in the reults,I did see a 750 though.38 laps is just a few less than 757.

True, however it's a shame that every "hey look at this bike" thread becomes a pissing contest between the Kool-Aids and the Glass Half-Empty types

Now pup, it's your opinion to express, and that is A-okay, even though I don't necessarily agree with what you're saying, and I dont' find it particularly tasteful on a Buell forum. Nevertheless, it's still your opinion and if you can back up your argument, I will respect it all the more. However, something that you should know is that Anonymous isn't just one person. A number of different people post as anonymous, including Erik Buell, as well as others connected with the factory, and a few who are not connected with the factory. Now, I am by no means claiming that the above post was from Erik, but something that you should be aware of. Just a friendly reminder. : )

Jscott, exactly, hmmm whats more impressive,a purpose built race bike from a factory that has 4 DNF's at Daytona or a handbuilt bike finishing 30th in an endurance race and going 757 laps.Any other board and we would know what the answer would be.
