ALMOST impossible to just power it up on these.

1.Throttle-up
2.Slip the clutch
3.Blow the fork seals
4.Crash looking like a dink

I always thought it meant just dumping it when it was half way engaged.

I know what slipping the clutch is but that tool doesn't even explain it.

Not at all.
You CAN power it up but you definetly dont have to worry about flipping it.
And it REALLY works better with the open/closed method.
