any tips on installing the bars. is there any mods?

I have the American Sport Bike Zero Degree Crossroads bars on my XB9S. Installation wasn't too bad. The only tricky part is the routing of the clutch cable. Some guys have drilled a hole in the left side flyscreen support to route that clutch cable through. That method seems to put less stress on the cable. I might eventually do that if I run into any future problems with mine.
