Looking at the 2006 999s, the MSRP is $23995. the 2007 999s team USA is $19995. Even though, I can not afford either, that is quite a price drop, especially for a limited edition model. Hopefully this will carry over into the 749's and the air cooled bikes.

Ducati are preparing (clearing out stock) for the forthcoming 999 replacement. It's rumoured two new models, 1100 and 1200cc versions could be produced.

It's possible that the team USA 999S doesn't come with the race exhaust and ecm, which costs 3 or 4 grand. If that is not the case, WOOHOO. I did a demo ride on a standard 999 and that thing was sweet. I would love to get one but I'd be scared of crashing it on a track. It is a waste to get a bike like that and not at least do track days.

Yorkshire roads are race tracks, and they're open 24 / 7, lol.
