Have a blast, wait for the slow guys and tell everyone beforehand not to ride beyond their abilities. I can't say that enough. But you guys sound pretty reasonable.

Post pictures. Tell Kryptonite no more pirouettes! ;)

Good advice is never funny. I second it, strongly.

The correct/humble/respectful response might go more like "That is excellent advice that we cannot hear too often."

Mistaking well-intentioned kind advice for an attack upon one's character or expertise is unfortunate. Been there, done that. Still learning to avoid such issues.

now, blake- with all due respect, esp. when i'm posting in your house:

it is not your job, or anyone else's, to dictate what one singular 'correct' response is.
we can point out when a response is 'incorrect', but to state that there is only ONE correct, unilateral response is unwise and presumptuous.

further, i'm not a loyal subject to any crown: i'm a man, no less than any other, and, as such, 'humility' is NOT indicated in this, or most other cases.
as far as your third response directive, 'respectful', jon gets from me what he gives me...no more, no less.

we reap what we sow.
mistaking web condescension for 'well-intentioned kind advice' is as unfortunate.
i, too, have been there, and done that.

go through some posts, and see what kind of 'respect' he sends my way, before you judge my responses.
thank you

Tramp-

"oh, "thanks", for the unsolicited directives on how to run a run."

-edited for peace and quiet -

The fact of the matter is, the advise has nothing to do with "how" run a run. It has to do with the participants (all of whom you may not know) remembering a simple code to stay out of trouble.

Good advise and well wishes are not a cause for offense.
