Anyone else have issue with new Buells leaking?

Just got an 06 XB12x and the F'ing thing has leaked from three different places in the first 300 miles!!!!!!!!

1) Looks like a leaky rear rocker box gasket ~ oil accumulating in the machined flat for the rear plug and then running off & blowing everywhere.
2) Oil Cooler line - no biggie, if that were the only one.
3) Now spray from what appears to be the top of the oil cooler or possibly running out the intake scoop, then blowing everywhere.

Now, less than a week old... it's headed back to the dealership for the 3rd time. As far as I can tell, only the cooler line has been fixed.

I've logged almost 100k miles on HD's & never experienced anything like this.

Just about ready to pull a stunt like the Discount Tire add.......

Anyone have similar experience?

Aside from that... The Uly is a blast to ride. I hope to keep it, or even better a different one that is not a problem child....

Phil

I had a small amount of seapage around one of the oil cooler fitting when I fist got the bike. I never saw any actual oil, it would just accumulate oily dirt. It fixed itself.

What you are seeing is definitly not "normal." Hopefully your dealer can get you squared away. If not remember that your warantee is good at any Buell dealer.

Thanks for the feedback... I had hoped to have close to 1000 miles on it by the end of this weekend, but that aint happen'n.. it's back in the shop ~ 3rd time in less than a week.

What really blows is that there were a couple rides, both this weekend and last, that we've done for the last several years in a row & I have the heads off my RoadGlide and sent out for port/polish. Now the "spare" scoot is in the shop.... Did I mention I hate taking bikes "to the shop"...???... But this problem on a bike that new has to ge back to the shop.

I am hoping this is not gonna turn out to be one of those proverbial "Monday morning" or Friday afternoon" builds that went down the line without the attention (quality?) that most builds get.

Sadly, I guess time will tell...

At least it's fun to ride.... When it's home!
