So I run to town quickly yesterday using some back roads. As I am approaching an intersection( about 100 yds), I see an SUV pull through the 2 way stop and is coming in my direction. Out of the left hand corner I see a silver compact something slide into the SUV, wham! The SUV stands up, and I mean STRAIGHT UP on its' front bumper, spins two times completly around, comes down hard on the passenger side window support beam, then rolls TWO more times side over side. I get on the brakes hard and head towards the SUV. All the windows are gone, no air bags deployed in either vehicle, all passengers and drivers get out of their vehicles. The only apparent injury was the driver of the SUV. He has a severe laceration to the left elbow. I grabbed a pillow he had in the backseat and applied pressure to him, then he took over and wrapped it around his own arm. Others had arrived behind me and were seeing to the other vehicle.

At this time I got a chance to see what other damage had been caused. The two that were in the Ford Focus, no injury's, just shooken up really bad. Their car, front grill got knocked off Yes only the front grill got knocked off! The headlights, turn signals, everything was perfect. Had a little crease about 2 inches long over the hood which started at the grill, didn't even break the paint!

The Saturn Vue, no windows, front bumper gone(from spinning like a top), passenger window pillion flattened, all four tires were sitting at such a bent angle that I could actually see the tread pattern.
I could not and still don't believe the shape these two vehicles were turned into. And too see how it played out with reletivly minor injuries to only one person, amazing.

We love this car. Now I love it even more after hearing how it handled that collision!

For under $20,000 it literally has everything you could want in a car this size, great mileage, very sporty handling, power everything, awesome sound system, and been 100% trouble free so far. I'm going to email Ford and tell them about that accident! Thanks for the post.
