pwnzor- i like your posts, typically. everyone will NOT agree on everything every time.
no bigs. we all have a lot in common, here on badweb.
let's focus more on that.

FWIW,

I am for liberal enjoyment of the Second Ammendment, but against the liberal enjoyment of the weed. Wasted a lot of time in the old days in a daze.

Guns demand discipline and planning, not to mention respect.

see- i'm the other way around...i've rarely smoked herb for any extended periods, (haven't touched it or alcohol in 4 years)
but i've done more than my fair share of shooting...
something about little milktoast wiseasses strapping heat to feel tough and pull on guys like me just doesn't sit right with me.....
as to herb- well- if more folks got nice as opposed to got drunk, there would be FAR fewer domestic disputes and violence out there..... and DUIs would slow it down at least ("whoaaa! what beautiful traffic lights...")

I was railroaded by a cop just a couple of weeks ago. He trapped me at 72 in a 45 and when I pleaded for a break, he ignored me. Handed me the ticket with a court date of Oct. 31st and didn't even crack a smile when I told him he really messed up my plans for Hallowe'en. Rat bastard. I swear I wasn't going a mile over 71! We play, we pay. I'm hoping my stellar record and sweet smile will win over the judge.

Jon, back in the day I took my SAT's stoned out of my mind. Still don't remember the score but I got into a decent a college! Darn Air Force tried to recruit me! I told the recruiter I was a stoner and he lost intrest for some reason. Still think it is the biggest mistake I have ever made. Oh well life goes on.

Make weed legal and you will remove the "rebel" factor. Most will experiment and move on if it is legal. Some won't function properly others will go on to be Federal Prosecuters................

Now what the hell was this thread about?

J/k good luck with that!

I'm not offended Tramp, you call it like you see it. However, you did not see me in any photo with guns or marijuana. I think because I described the guns in detail you may have misconstrued me slightly.

Also, if I gave the full details, the minute-by-minute, of how it went down, it is my opinion you would be standing firmly behind me. I can't give the most pertinent details because the case is currently in process.

Also, the reason I always host my own pictures is so I can take them down. Try finding that photo now. Unless you clipped it on the spot, you can't get it.

Somehow, underneath all this, I manage to run a business. Just because I am loosely associated with people who operate in the grey area of the law (prop 215, etc.) doesn't make me a criminal. The helicoptor (only one really) was incidental. It was nearby and any time they make a "felony stop" the bird will illuminate the situation if available. It's not as if there was some sting, or concerted effort. It was a bunch of cops dragging their feet at shift change, stumbling over each other and bitching about long hours.

Tramp, you are someone I would care to meet if opportunity affords. I can tell you have stories for days, and I like your style based on what little I know of you.

To those in the law enforcement profession, I do not agree with you in general principal on most things. However, I wish God's blessings for you, and pray for your safety. I am a religious person, and I really mean it. If I offend anyone by this last statement I apologise. I don't want people to hurt each other, least of all cops. I recognize there are real criminals out there, I meet them every trip thru the clink I take. I am not one of them. I am not one of you. I never will be either. But, my God tells me to love my enemy. And I hope He will forgive you, as I struggle and fail to do so. It is only human to be weak in some areas.

I'm dropping this subject now, I don't want to piss anyone off. It was never my intention.

Pwnzor, I don't think having an opinion has pissed anyone off. The world would be a dull place if we all had the same opinions. Boards like this would be dull to say the least.

To the officers among us, when you see this, , keep your profession under your hat and we can talk all day.

Generally speaking if someone doesnt ask your profession you dont need to reveal it. I am also a religious person and I don't think I need God's forgiveness for choosing to be a Police Officer,so that statement did offend me. I think you have probably been wronged by law enforcement in the past and I have plenty of Family/Friends who have been as well. Wrongful arrests happen alot in the big metro areas which is a big reason I moved way North of it. I know there are still bad people no matter where you go but the smaller a community you live in the harder it is to be an and get away with it. To me the only way to make changes in the perception of Law Enforcement is to be one of the people who does the right thing. Trust me when I say this I don't respect crooked people of any ilk.

the only cops i consistently dislike are the bearded ones decked out as "bikers", inked up head to toe and asking me where they can buy some guns.

check, please.

if you're the heat, and you openly present yourself as such, and you're not an as*hole, i've got no beef with you.

hell- some of my best childhood buddies are still cops. an old friend (first guy to break my nose- i was 9 and he was 7) is a longtime street cop in nearby middletown, ny.
he was recently charged with punching a backseat subject in the head when the subject called him a "dick"... I couldn't have been prouder of my old friend.

I hope you succeed. I don't like crooked people either. I am honest in my dealings whether they be legal or not. Many blur the line between "honest" and "legal".

We are all sinners in the eyes of God. Our perception of sin is not what matters.

Wrongful arrest happens a lot. To me, a lot more than most. Even Job was bitter, and no I'm not comparing myself to him. My life's hardships are trivial in comparison. I mean that even the most stoic of personalities has its moments where angst will pervade.

Funny, to sit here and see both sides. I used to be exactly where Pwnzor seems to be. It is a place arrived at with reasons I am sure. Most likely valid reasons. I had (and still have) valid reasons to not like cops.

I was also a big fan of symbolic logic in school and know that everything (and everyone) can not be lumped into the same category.

There are some really cool cops out there. There are also some real peckerheads. Such is the case with humans. Sadly it only takes a few peckerheads to make it tough for the humans.

I have gotten to get to know a couple of officers and I think highly of them as humans. Talking with them and seeing life from their perspective is interesting.

Pwnzor, you got to admit it would be big fun chasing bad guys and writing huge tickets to cagers talking on cell phones while eating burgers.

Sadly officers also have to deal with things that many of us consider to be only illegal because some idiot or worse special interest said it is.

I had to quit pot quite awhile ago due to wanting to stay out of prison if involved in a flying accident while operating commercially.

Now I am out to go get a nice legal beer or five and crash into a family of five while driving my car drunk. Damm, humans can be stupid.

I would like more second ammendment freedoms for me and my family, not for brandishing in general. Although, nothing gets the traffic moving at rush hour like a couple o' shots!

you're generalizing cops while droning on about your god-squad badge...
that's perverse, man.
maybe it's time to start growing a different sort of crop.

Whether you like cops or not, they are the ones trying to protect your kids from sexual predators, trying to prevent that meth lab from opening up in the house next door, trying to catch the serial rapist in your area, trying to prevent the next idelogical extremist from flying a plane into a national landmark, trying to protect your financial investments and the security of this nation, trying to prevent insurance fraud, trying to apprehend the dangerous fugitives... and generally work their asses off for little or no thanks. Get my point?

Sorry Tramp I meant my God. Sorry Dongalonga I was a bit unclear. The vicodin has me muddled as I await oral surgery on Friday.

I never claimed to be righteous. When I pray for things to happen, it's Yahweh I'm praying to. Just because we are sinners doesn't mean he doesn't love us. I don't think I really generalized cops other than to say I don't like them. I'll have to read back some. What I'm droning on about is my experience with cops. Perhaps if something were to happen to change my mind...

May Tetragrammaton watch over you.
