I'm thinking... ease of maintenance possibly.

Neat stuff on there... would it fit my Buell?

Very sweet looking bikes! Either the bikes are fairly small or the cat riding 'em is huge?

"It has an even mixture of American and European
components shared exactly 50/50% in terms of supplier value, so we can build
the Wakan either side of the Atlantic, wherever makes most sense."

Pretty interesting quote. The bike looks pretty well thought out. Also he has some sort of game plan for turn key race models. Perhaps another bike to add to the Moto-ST lists?

"The already quite distinctive
exhaust note hardens, and the hefty 115 ft/lb of torque peaking at just
4,250 rpm delivers beefy acceleration, and literally awesome roll-on - the
Buell Firebolt XB12R I'd been riding the previous week in the States wasn't
nearly as impressive in terms of engine performance as the Wakan, while
delivering comparable handling."

Cool bikes, but at what cost? Great, it has a torqier engine than a stock XB but if the thing costs 30-50 large then other than the exclusivity of owning one, it's just an over priced and not as technologicly advanced copy of a Buell with a after-market big twin stuffed in it.

Still all in all, a cool bike........

Very cool bike, wonder what it will cost? If they can't do it under $15,000 then to hell with it.

The MSRP I found on the internet (you know you can't trust the internet) was $8,465.00 for the S&S motor alone. Your $15,000 cap doesn't look to likely.

28,000.00 EUR=35,709.62 USD

That kind of money can build you one SERIOUS XB, or get you a XBRR and the cash to get the racing license.

It is a pretty cool bike.
The exhaust on the non-race version would have to go.
I've seen an intake close to that one on the Hillbilly-Motors website a few years back. Don't know if they still offer it.
Isn't there an S&S 100 inch built for a tuber Buell?
