A friend of mine hit a Moose in Alaska. Neither died, on impact. The Moose was shot by local "Police". My friend now walks with a limp. He still takes a trip on a bike there every year.I guess he figures it can't happen again. I hope he's right.

Pretty scary! When I was younger I hit a dog at about 45mph (he just ran straight out of a house) while rounding a corner. I didn't even have time to swerve - I just had time to hold on until the sudden impact. All I did was shift back so I could ride over him, and that probably saved me. I broke his leg, though, and I felt "very" bad about it. When I managed to stop, I was shaking with all the adrenalin rush.

That "rush" also helped me give the owners a piece of my mind!

Man that is scary, but great all in one. Like the author of the post said at the bottom, never quit riding it till it's down.
