Ok is it just me or does anyone else think there is a speedo error on this bike? Maybe a gearing change? Just doesn't seem like 220mph. It is a cool video though.

Any idea how many people fail to get into the 200mph club at a real sanctioned timing association?

There are a lot more attempts than successes. Aerodynamics are the key. I really doubt the speed is correct.

ok, the differences are....... one, no boost guage.... 2 in the second clip you can here the turbo.... third..... no wheelies in the second clip.... well the second real clip...... the first one is a fake... i'd guess that it has a really big sprocket on the back wheel...

agreed, useless speedo in first vid due to some gearing change.

I think Euro and Canadian speedo's run up to 300 kph. 220 kph is around 130 mph.

I think the one Gomo posted is way off and doesn't even sound like a turbo bike. the one Elf posted is GREAT!Dumped my morning coffee in my lap over that one. the link I posted is whhat a 200 mph turbo bike should sound like. Watch the lines in the road and the wind noise, 220,no way. Maybe 150 or 160 at the most

Speedos are wrong, they're wrong from the factory, they can be 3% to as much as 12% and pass quality control. Factor in tire wear and there's another % or two.
Also the faster you go the more wrong your speedo is.

Watch towards the end of the first clip when the bike is decelerating. During the last five seconds the bike is supposedly still at 100-110 mph, according to the speedo. But if you look at the center line on the roadway it is pretty obvious the rate of speed is far less.

Yeah, thats what I was noticing. The white lines and surrounding landscapes do not seem to match the supposed speed. Something does not seem to add up right with that video.?

The first one has been argued to death years ago and the owner admitted he had the incorrect speedo pick up on....

The speedo in that last video is wrong too, or that road at the end of the video has a 70 mph speed limit.
