I have never heard of this happening. He was killed but they do not know if it was from the strike or from the resulting crash.

A metal car body provides considerable protection against lightning. A motorcycle provides NONE.

Happened to a fellow riding with some motojournalists from So Cal to Harley's 100th Anniversary in 2003.

If I remember correctly, I believe he was with the Cycle World Crew and it was somewhere in the mountains just west of Denver.

Is just one more reason, I don't ride in the rain unless I absolutely have to.
