Greg takes bigtime loads of crap from many crowds, but in all honesty he's a good egg. Just a Mocksville NC boy that found a 'little-niche' and plugged himself in.

Holly cow, 24hr day Bike channel! That would make winter fly by. Seems like Nascar is more popular right now. Does anyone know what happened to the show "Motorcycle Experience" it is a Canadian show in High definition that is not playing anymore???

Buell It! Make every day count!!

I worry about what the replacement for 2wheel tuesday will be like. It has been called
a "motorcycle lifestyle" show called super-bikers or something like that.

I like Greg White. Back when the show was an hour long, it rocked. Then they cut it in half and made a third of it into infomercial. Not much left. Cheers to Greg White!

Don't count on it. From the SPEED website:

SPEED translates the exciting world of high performance motorcycles to television on “Super Bikes!”, a thirty-minute television series dedicated to the high revving, tire shredding, wheel standing world of sport bikes, the most exhilarating machines on the planet.

Each episode of “Super Bikes!” is produced to mirror the edgy, fast paced lifestyle of today’s young motorcycle enthusiasts. POV cameras and the hottest music combined with an insider’s perspective will make “Super Bikes!” a “must see” for today’s young adult male biker. “Super Bikes!” delivers the kick that today’s motorcycle industry and consumer will embrace.

Host Rossi Morreale and special field correspondent and world famous stunt rider Jason Britton take viewers inside the extreme lifestyles of all the personalities featured in each episode of “Super Bikes!”. They go on location at sport bike hot spots, events, tracks, back roads, urban streets, anywhere in the world young riders congregate to share their passion for speed on two wheels.

Viewers will meet the street racers, stunt riders and weekend warriors who live the sport bike lifestyle.

Agreed,

I liked the show when Despain hosted it best (can't recall the name). Greg obviously had a much different take on the show, but it was worth watching. Some of the racer personal stuff I could've cared less for, but he did cover a pretty good chunk of various motorcycle lifestyles

It seems like a 1/2 hr show should be possible, wonder why they can't keep two?

Hopefully this isn't more of the trash Speed normally peddles, who knows maybe we'll get encores of Texas Hardtails........

Tuesday is Two Wheel Tuesday even without Greg's show. It is a great way to catch up on the weekend's racing or watch it again.

The Speed Channel usually has motorcycle racing on starting about 12 Noon (Eastern) on every Tuesday. And it goes on for two to six hours. Today I got MotoGP 250, MotoGP, AMA Superbikes (two hours), AMA Formula Extreme, and two hours of FIM World Enduro from Italy and Spain.

Those are replays of the all weekend stuff for the most part. You can see the schedule here:

http://www.speedtv.com/schedule/

Search the schedule for motorcycles and you'll be surprised how much you may be missing.

Jack

I actually talked to Greg White while at the races at Miller. First off, he is a great guy, and I love the show. He said that "Superbikes" looks pretty crappy from what he had seen. I now have nothing to look forward to on T.V. on Tuesdays.

I saw the previews for the Super Bike show tonight. I personally thought it looked pretty entertaining with guys pulling stoppies, wheelies, etc.. May not be informative but probably fun to watch since I don't have the stones to do that stuff myself .

If I have seen one guy doing a stoppie or a wheelie, I have seen 1,000...who cares? I have never really been impressed by stoppies, wheelies (except of the "power" variety whilst coming out of a curve or over a rise), burnouts (yuk!), or any other of that stunt bike crap.

And that Texas Hardtails show...what do you guys see in that? I am sorry, but IMHO, all of the cruiser shows suck. And that trampy looking slut on the V-twin show, Michelle Fake-Boobs (my 5 year old grand daughter was watching her one night while I was flipping channels, and she looked around and said, "Grand Daddy, she isn't real, is she?"...I said, "No, Honey, she sure isn't!"). And all of the OCC rip-off custom bike-builder shows are boring. I hope I never see another show about a poker run...

I will miss Greg and his show. Greg White had a great show when it was an hour, a pretty good show when it was a half hour, and now it is gone. Remember, Rupert Murdoch, media magnate and owner of the "fair and balanced" FOX News, bought SPEED a few years ago and immediately started the NASCAR conversion. The castration of SPEED began on that day, and if his past record is any indicator, he will probably turn it into 24 hours of NASCAR.

Hey Coturi - you were @ Miller ? You wernt riding a XB12 were you ? I saw several XBs in the parking lot, it was real cool to see some Buellers there, even though they wernt racing . Glad you got to talk to Greg, he is a great guy and Im glad to say I have also met him.
As a ray of light, he told me that he was going to start pitching a TWT type show to some other networks, so, hopefully he will find a home for his show soon.
Id like to thank everyone for taking part, I know Greg will appericate it !

Does anybody remember MotoWorld? It originally was a one hour show on the USA network that had Larry Myers as the Host. Then the show moved to ESPN and became a 1/2 hour show with both Dave Despain and Larry Myers as co-hosts. Then someone else took over hosting the show, and Dave and Larry moved to Speedvision and started Bike Week. Moto World got a real mellonhead for a host who would appeal to the younger audience(Jerry Jerkoff or Bernardo Bozo, or some such name), and the show died a slow painful death. Then Speedvision became the NASCAR network(AKA SPEED) and Bike Week wasn't pulling in the ratings, so it was dropped, and Two Wheel Tuesday came along, to appeal to a younger audience. Now, TWT isn't pulling the ratings, so it's been killed only to be replaced by a a show that will cater to (supposedly) a younger crowd. After what I've seen from the previews, I don't think it'll last very long.
The more things change, the more they stay the same.
I still miss Speedvision.

Interesting take Crusty. At this rate, when the new show dies, it will be replaced by one catering to bikers in diapers, or biker fetuses...

I can see this "Super Bikes" show fuelling anti-motorcycle legislation. Not to mention insurance hikes. I appreciate that TWT used to have updates from the AMA encouraging viewers to get involved in preserving our hobby. Thassallfolks. NUTS

Good point Nutsosane. I remember that after the first Fast and Furious movie that local law enforcement across the country started cracking down on tuners a bit more. I got more than one ticket for minor offenses more than once shortly after (window tint, exhaust). year later, everything was back to normal despite the fact that I changed nothing about my car.

Blue, Yeah I was at Miller. I did see five or six buells other than my buddies and my own, a picture is in my profile. That was a great event and the racers were really cool to talk to, especially Josh Hayes, what a super guy.

Gregs show has gone down hill - to much interveiws and not enough about bikes and riding like it originaly had. I had pretty much stopped watching. I especailly dispised the word recogintion stuff..

Sad tho.. all the bike shows have gone down hill! American thunder has turned into Vengence or Rolland sands commericals..

Was watching a Biker Build-off last night when the commentator stated that they raked the bike out to 120" to improve handling???
Wonder what planet they are riding on??
