just be careful how you promote that. you live in a very unique...um...."dmz", JT. events in your neck of the woods could really bring drama. |

tony, sounds cool. will the town actually allow such a thing on public property? liability has got got be a huge issue. i agree if promoted right it could put you "on the map" just hopefully not in the way tramp is thinking about. |

I am 200% for this initiative- the 'geopolitical' issue lies in the shop's proximity to the borders of Pennsyltucky, Jersey and NY. I hate to mention it, as Tony's shop absolutely kicks ass, and it's perfect for such an event. I'd just hate to see the wrong element come over from Pa. and Jersey and act like idiots. a couple of them actually live in a town near the shop, on the NY side. If you can promote it more toward metric bikes, and NOT American bikes, your odds of avoiding idiocy improve. If you sponsor a beautiful event like this, and the idiots show up, it could really scar the shop's image. I can see the headlines already. remember- there was a reason they cancelled the Easy Riders rodeo in Middletown, last year. Always safer to hold these events farther form the state borders. keeping it Asiatic-bike oriented will help. |

I think Harley Stunts will be in NC in August, something to do with the Dragon. They could probably make a detour after that. Just give Jeff a call, you will not be disappointed. |

Jeff said something about when he is in NC doing something with Smokey Mountain Buell. Tramp why would you avoid anything harley-oriented? Unlike most professional stunt teams his is family oriented and very professional. |

I know, believe it or not. I apologize for coming off gloomy. any event with the name "Harley-Davidson" mentioned, in western Orange County, NY., Pike County, PA., and/or Sussex County, NJ., will attract a handful of bad apples....bent on starting trouble. I've been in the middle of that drama in the past. Not worth it. At least Thunderheart is a big enough cat, in heart and stature (what is he- like 7'9???), to thwart any foolishness. He'll be fine in any event. |

Tramp, your right...if it is carefully thought out,i'm hoping it would be a great time for all. As for as the town..i'm working on it..i think it is possible..probably have to sign wavers, and crap. ($$$$$$$$).. To top it off..we could ask hammer if he would bring his show winning, signature, buell..in the "shorts" he picked up...THAT MAY BE A LIABILITY!! JT |

We had Harley Stunts down at our Blessing of the Bikes event in April. They put on a good show. The cruiser guys all got into it too when they were doing standups on the sportster scraping the rear fender! |

Ya Jeff said that was a good show in Joplin. This past weekend he was practicing his jumping skills on his pimp XR750, all I have to say is watch out Bubba. His new rig is pretty cool also and well setup. A few of the KCLW should be at some of the shows helping Harley Stunts and Ill Conduct out this year. Harley stunts has a chopper, sportster, blast, two XB's and a XR750 that they use in their shows, it may not just be a Buell show but it is well rounded with a variety of bikes and stunts and very good. |

Thunderheart: I converse, regularly, with one of our county planners, who just happens to live right in your town. I'll reach out to her and see what she can suggest. A friend of mine (a badwebber..."Yohan") lives nearby, as well, and started the Hallowe'en parade in your town, or Westtown, can't remember which. He likely has all the connections in place to help. I'll pass your shemale on to him, with your nod. |

thunderheart- that being stated, i may just be able to involve some other county entities (doh/dot) to assist you in this initiative. involving your local pd with a dare table never hurts, either, and I have some nice contacts at community blood services who could send a blood donor van out there, maybe set up a nice little 'blood run'... this really helps in terms of: A. publicity B. bolstering the positive image attached to the event. let me know, and I'll hook you up with their blood drive director- they're in goshen, and i have their blood drive packet in front of me on the desk. |
