Can you two take the sidetracked conversation out back or even better PM?

That yellow BMW is a very nice example, I bet it would be a great thing to ride around on.

Tramp
I belive Bill(Newfie) is just trying to assist in creating less drama, wasnt specifially ment toward you, or maybe it was
Its just been, well way, way to much BS on the boards as of late
Dont take it so personal, its really not worth it, and as a side note, Bill is good people, so take it easy on him
Now back to the topic
Why oh why are airhead GS's so expensive, some are geting well into the 5 6 and 7 g range
I want one, but but not at that price point
I need to figure out how to make more money, or not want so many bikes

Rebuttal's fine, but I think your point is made.

I'd rather hear more about the frankentoaster. What would it take to put one of those together? Is the /5 trans the one with the wierd kickstarter that swings away from the bike, perpendicular to the driveshaft?

I never read the posts as not checked in since this morning.

We are here too short a time for the stuff thats been happening.

Now the Frankentoaster is a good topic.

I'd love to find an old airhead and turn it into something like the above yellow bike.

I could have had an R100 (I think) a couple years ago for a bout $4,000.00 CAD but didn't know enough about BMWs to make a committment. Its gone now and I could kick myself as it was a very nice bike. The same guy had a R65 he sold as well.

As of next week I'm the proud owner of a 1998 Billet Metallic S3 and I have to fly to Ontario and ride it back to Newfoundland. I hope its a good adventure for three or four days.

My luck's been bad lately with my tuber. First a rear wheel bearing went out, leaving me stranded 50 miles from home. I had that fixed for maybe a week when my primary started leaking. I bought a new gasket and hadn't even had a chance to install it when the clip holding the detent plate to the shift drum broke. That one stranded me about 20 miles from home. I had that fixed for maybe 3 days when my gearcase cover started leaking and dumped oil all over my rear tire.

Replacing that gasket is a sonofabitch because the cover holds the cams in place, and the pushrods have to come out. I decided to replace the cams as long as I had them out anyway, so my bike's been in pieces in my garage for about 2 weeks now while I've waited for the new ones to arrive.

I'm almost afraid to take the bike out for any distance after I get it put back together because I just don't know what's going to break next.

Newfie; the '98 S3-T is the most beautiful motorcycle ever made. I happen to have a little "Birthday present" you'll enjoy for it. I'll mail it out via the US Pcstal Service. I will never again use UPS for shipping to Canada.

We too had a young guy killed two weeks ago.

He was making a turn across a divided hwy, hit a curb, got thrown from the bike into oncomming traffic. Only had his license for a year and attributed to rider inexperience. Damm shame.

Sorry to hear about your friend Trampster.

Tramps-hope it starts to look up for your friends fam and yourself, as for calling you on something, I just envision your type of fun may not be what some other view as fun, -I've been told I suffer from the same affliction. and I don't have a clue what sardonic means
