OK...I NEED 2 DIFFERENT BRAKE FUILDS?

That's freaky.

My 2000 X1 wants DOT4 on both front and rear.
Brakes are by nissin.
Perhaps you have an aftermarket setup?
Was Erik buying stuff off of the shelf randomly?

Jt I think that you are ok here, the front brake may not be a nissan but a pm and iirc i had aconversation about that with rocket the s1 and the s2 earlyer versions may use d5 up front d4 out back

Yes the rubber parts are not compatible across certain types
type 3 and some types of 5 are ok and
4/5 under certain conditions ( not mixing )

best to put in what the CAP calls for, they dont change types vs the cap markers, the mismatch on the frame to rear cap looks like a change was made after the frame was produced If in doubt consult some of our seasoned S2 riders


the rubber parts will swell rendering the stopper in operative.

Jt if the lid calls for 4 and you added 4 your good other wise remove it from the cup( resivour ) and flush (bleed out)with fresh type as marked on the cap you may be good

If you leave it oh shizitz you may want to over haul the system..

i put 4 in..thats what the cover called for...really stupid of them to do that...thank god i read the cap...not the frame decal first
