Well if you play with fire you are bound to get burned. For those of you who know me, I love my Buell and I love it when it looks good...

or this pic

Well, I also like to ride my bike and ride it hard which includes track days. I am no pro, but I can peel the ruber on the edge of the tire.

track day

I also can get a little carried away I guess

Me

side

Back

Final result was I got 14 stitches in my left leg (3 internal) and a ruined set of riding pants. I got some grass stains on my jacket and my helmut stayed pretty clean. Not bad for a crash that happened at somewhere around 80 miles. When I started loosing control I figured the grass would be much softer then the asphault. I am still extremely amazed that only the top of the bike recieved any damage.

For those of you who like to pick on the bike Daves wife named "Pimp Daddy Bling Bling" I offer the following...

The 80+ LED lights all still work...
Not a single scratch found it's way onto my chrome...
And my ego (though slightly bruised like my shinbone which I have now seen first hand) is still fairly well intact along with my good spirits and desire to ride again soon...

Thanks to all of you here at Badweb that have already helped me aquire some parts to get my ride back on the road!

Thanks, I was working on corner 6 all day. In the forth session I finally started nailing it well. Daves, you would have been proud, got lots of track scrapes on my right peg! Anyway, coming out of 6 I was carrying some good speed. I went to pass a bike, it must have been a bit of a stretch and 7 it a tight corner. Next thing I know there is another bike right there and we were both aiming at the same line. Suddenly my bike and I were in the lawn. I don't remember much after that except that I had enough time to think to myself "hmmm, I am not slowing down... hmmm this could hurt..." When I stood up I noticed the rip in my Joe Rocket pants and the rip in my skin. But I am happy that is all that I got. It was a learning experiance for me.

NOoooooooooOOO! I know (knew) exactly how you feel.

Gotta give you credit, though... your bike could have just been another well built showbike, but you are using it for it's intended purpose.

Glad to hear you made out with at least your spirits intact. I can't wait to see what you have in mind for the resurrection.

I'll check my mail when I get home (can't do it from work here).

Bads1 - Yeah it was at Blackhawk Farms on Wednesday June 7. BTW your header (which I bought 3 years ago) barely got scratched and will be staying on the bike.

I just noticed I am smiling more in my post crash picture then when my bike is all clean at a show... Must have been since the show was in April and I hadn't gotten to ride for a long time.

Awww Koz...Bummer Dude!

Glad to see you and the bike survived with only minor damage. Have to admit that is a great feature of the Tubers.

Knowing your creative genius, I can't wait to see what all you do to the bike this time.

Take care my friend.

KOz, there are some M2 parts for sale in the classified section although they are on eBay, but maybe you can sweet talk the person and get a few parts reasonable.

Huge thanks everyone who offered parts to me. I think I got just about everything except for some minor parts

Headlight
clutch handle and mount

Actually right now I think that is about it. I have seen a few headlights for sale so I am sure it will just be a few days till I pick one up. I will probably order the clutch handle and mount from Daves. Daves is a pretty cool guy for someone who doesn't have any chrome on his bike...
