Geesss... I go take a break for a while, a come back and I see that you are voting me for "something" of the year? Court is gone and who knows what else!
Flattering to say the least! But really...Sammie and I did that just "because". I should be the one voting and saying thanks for all the kind words, support, and overall help in my rehab!
Now about that.... I am off th walker and wheelchair now!!! I have a good "old biker limp" but that is going away with more time in the pool and more walking. I have lost 60 lbs now so I guess I'll be faster out of the chute when I can ride again! It still looks like maybe September or October before I can plan on that. I am just now strong enough to be able to walk the XB out of the garage to crank it up right now.
Sorry I have not been around much but I am spending my days helping Sammie with her business, running my lil eBay gig, and working out. I have 6 more weeks before I return to work full time. (I am working one or two days a week now!)

Anyways.... thanks guys..!!
Nick

Whoa! Now THAT'S some great news! Take your time healing and don't start riding until the experts say it's O.K.
I'm looking forward to the time when a bunch of Buells can converge on your house and the Host can ride to the races with us.
The tickets for the Short Track races for you and Sammie will be on me.

Crusty... believe me when I tell you that we are already working on plans for '07! I'll take you up on those tickets for sure...and I don't think I will ride at all in February!

Nick, that is fantastic news! Everyone knows a limp is sexy. Especially when you have a big ol' scar to go with...

Wooohooo! Way to go Nick! I know Sammie deserves credit on the 60 LBs weight loss too. So tell her "way to go" for me. You be lean and mean for sure! That is great.

Nick, that is really great news. Glad to hear you have made such good progress.

Yeah, For 2006, I think you and Sammie should be "Buelligan's of the Year."

You opened your home to all before the incident and continued to make it even better in spite of it. Now that is dedication and enthusiasm!

You (plural) got my vote!!!

Wow! It's great you're mending up so fast!

Ya could write a book to sell along side the "South Beach Diet" and "The Zone" diet and all those -

Title it -

"New Weight Loss Program: The Motorcycle Crash Diet!"
'How I lost 60 lbs by eating asphalt!'

You'll sell millions of copies!

Glad you're doing so well - If I ever get across the country to Daytona, I'll plan to get to your place for that Buell gathering/BBQ/Tall Tale Contest. I saw the photos and it looked like a good time was had for sure!

Thanks guys... and girlie! (how goes the racing venture Dora?)
Ohh yeah, Sammie has been and still is my driving force in recovery and my weight loss! She watches over me like a hawk! My first day back at work she called everyone that I work with and told them the "shall not do" list!
Hey Odie... Stan wrote me a while back and said the new Tailgunner was just perfect! He sent some pics along and I'd say I have to agree! Way to go! Maybe I'll actually get to hear one soon.
Outrider.... all the company during that week was a real "what the doctor ordered" for my spirits. I had some real emotional down days right after the accident and all the positive people around during that time did more than I can describe.
Al... I can say that is been the most painful diet program I could think of! More like "how to lose weight because you hurt too much to care"! But now... thanks to Sammie it is woking great! Believe it or not I may have one soda a week(that was one of my weak points so to speak).... otherwise it is all water for me!

Ya'all enjoy the beautiful weekend!
Nick

Vegas, keep on keepin' on.

There's no shame in an old biker's limp. even if you're a young guy.

remember that you are now eligible to be a member of COBB. I know, I'm a member.

You'll be back riding before you know it.

Wow - I've been, if not a full, card carrying member, at least an Associate Member, of COBB since 1975, which was the year I attempted to tip over a Chevrolet with a '56 Panhead. Those cars are remarkably stable!
If you stop limping regularly, do they suspend you?
Man, I hope I don't owe any back dues!

Hey! I joined in 1997 and didn't even know it!
But I'm not crippled, I'm just a bit of a gimp. Does it count if my limp wasn't caused by riding?

Heck Nick - you're old enough I'd wager!

I think there's a formula where the younger you are, the more severe your injuries have to be for admission.

You could have been admitted at the age of maybe about 5 with your bang-up!
