Know Tramp for being Tramp and love him for it.

That’s too virtuous for me, I think you can know someone and you don’t have to love them, hell you don’t even have to like them, you don’t even have to acknowledge them either, just don’t be rude that’s all !!!

It’s ridiculous to think anyone’s going to like every single person that comes across their path in life, it’s really ok in my opinion to not like some of them !!

My Mum always told me "If you can't say something nice about a person, say nothing at all."
She talked a lot of sense did my mum, ask anyone that knew her.

Some threads get deleted not because of the comments of the threads creator, but due to the posts of others and the perceived personal conflict.

Indignantly demanding an accounting in public from those who give of their time to help maintain the place might not be the most productive path to resolution, even when you may be in the right.

BadWeB custodians are united in our mission, so who deleted the thread in question is moot. It is necessary that we all publicly support each other. We might not agree with each other's actions, but we support each other when one of us sees a need to take action.

Making mountains out of molehills certainly won't help the issue. It just creates more consternation, and that is entirely unwelcome here.

You have my number and an open invititation to call anytime old friend. As a friend, I'm asking that you please drop the issue and proceed onwards to more positive pursuits.

Personally, I think challenging the status quo that one finds to be unacceptable to be an extraordinarily positive pursuit.

I think Snail's pull quotes were enlightening as was my investigation into the question of why m2me was banned after this spirited, polite, political post in a political thread.

http://www.badweatherbikers.com/cgibin/discus/show.cgi?tpc=4062&post=549743#POST 549743

It seems to me that the board has "unresolved issues" probably because we have no reasonable way to call each other assholes when the situation requires it. I don't buy this "we can disagree but always be polite" bullshit anymore. Sometimes disagreements require forceful language to reach resolution. It is a normal part of small group dynamics currently being short circuited.

I know, I know, it's Blake's board and he can do as he likes. I just tend to think public dissent is a good thing, kinda one of the reasons I'm proud to be a Muhrican.

Blake, that's pretty low. If our friendship can't handle a candid, open discussion of this issue it's a pretty fragile friendship.

The mole wouldn't have dug if you'd deleted Rockets offensive posts, rather than delete my thread.

Snail, please state which part of my post was offensive to you. I mean you're a big crude fisherman aren't you? I find it hard to imagine anything I've ever said on BadWeB is anywhere near as offensive as the shit you read or write on Sacborg.

Frankly I think you too have a bigger agenda here, given the TE's recent 'political' shift and your association within that fast becoming fascist organization.

Blake had nothing to do with the hole you're digging. He's simply stating he supports the custodians actions to keep the integrity of BadWeB from infiltration by those that seek to harm it. Witness Ferris's recent actions - and what brought that about.

If you're the wise guy you make out to be, why don't you give it break? Or have the new kids on the block bought you with a few free dyno runs?

Rocket I can abstain no longer.

fast becoming fascist organization.

TE is about friendship and the quest for speed. I for one am sick of your shit. You continue to misrepresent who we are and know very little of which you speak.

fast becoming fascist organization.

BLARING buzzer sound. Again it shows you know little of which you speak. He's yet to receive any time on the dyno for free. A friendship to him was extended from Team Elves the minute he unloaded at B'ville. It's a mutual friendship that works both ways. We don't sponsor him but we help him and we get the same in return.

If you were going to show up at Bonneville again I'd wager there would be Team Elves members who would still gladly help you. I am one of them. But your ranting here is exactly why I'm going to take a LONG vacation from BadWeB. There seems to be an unwritten rule that you don't have to follow any rules which is fine on SacBORG but you needed squelched over here a long time ago
.

Wish you all the best, JB2

Snail, I believe the consensus of opinion is Blake's four star rated post above is explanation enough.

Sorry it doesn't satisfy your more pressing personal concerns, but as I said a few days ago, I responded in 'your' thread as I thought the subject matter was in poor taste given the current climate between the two forums you mentioned. That and the bad timing, which no doubt purposely prompted your need to put up such a thread in the first place.

Regarding TE, a lot more people are involved in it than just the people talking about it here negatively or positively. Remember that there are good guys involved, not a part of the thread wars here, who do not deserve to be painted up as a bad guys. Everybody has a right to his or her conclusions, but remember guys like Jim Higgins and Woz are there before you wind up.

I chatted with Woz last night as he was unloading his truck having just drove home from Salt Lake. Dead tired, he come over for the last part of ASBN like a trooper while me and Jim Armstrong were running the show. There's a guy who in no way deserves controversy. Whatever TE is or isn't is not helpful to argue about. And I will say the same things for Badweb and it's people...(edited to add) meaning that Badweb doesn't rise or fall because of the opinions of a poster or group of posters or a single issue or even a few issues. There are lots of good people and info here that do not fall within the boundaries of the complaints voiced by some. To continue to malign Badweb is not helpful, only spiteful.

Can you guys discuss this with out flaming the TE participants or Badweb? I'm not moderating here, meaning that I am not telling you what to do, just giving you some sorely needed suggestions. If the flames rise, well than that's a different story. Just read my post and consider. If you are done talking about it that's fine too.

I have a great ability to see through transparent bastards.

What's happened here is you too have become another Aaron disciple.

Then he'll shit on Sacborg when he builds the BadWeB back up 'Aaron Wilson' style.

fast becoming fascist organization.

Now maybe my opinion is screwed up, but those comments appear to me to be personal attacks, name calling (bastards), and what have you !!

Yet a little fcuk you becomes a major incident with it’s own thread intended to draw attention and contribute to it becoming such a big ordeal a moderator felt he needed to step down ??

And you get the following comments plainly stating there will be no moderating in “this case”, and add a “that a boy” as well !???

Can you guys discuss this with out flaming the TE participants or Badweb? I'm not moderating here

I feel fortunate that Rockety is here. Real glad for his company. The magnitude of his participation goes beyond his opinion on one solitary issue.

Guess I do need to ride, I realize it’s a hard job to moderate, and I do feel sometimes things are over moderated !!

Sheesh how to you determine what’s ok and what’s not, so many things get by, so much small stupid stuff is blown out of proportion !!

Ok, that’s all of my 2 cents worth !!

I am not a moderator here nor am I a custodian. I am, however , a sponsor, and as such, my request is to have this thread removed. Save for the original post.(and close the thread thereafter)
For the record, only because I know that there is a dire need to know every detail around these parts(and others), lately, I have NEVER made any sort of demand or even a request that anything be removed, etc..., on this board.
In saying that, I would be most appreciative that my request be considered. I certainly do not speak for any other sponsors on this board, but I would imagine that at least some feel the same.

Rocket, my very dear friend, A quote that comes to mind fits here..."He who angers you, conquers you."

And to all: "Anybody can become angry, that is easy; but to be angry with the right person, and to the right degree, and at the right time, and for the right purpose, and in the right way, that is not within everybody's power, that is not easy."
Aristotle

So please let's temper our anger with something a bit more positive, shall we. I am as guilty as anyone here of all the venom and back biting. My hope would be that we can try to be a little more agreeable(or at least more palatable) regarding our disagreements.

Thank you for your consideration.

I'd rather pay dues than see the board influenced or directed by commercial sponsors who leverage those in power to remove/alter postings according to their own preferences. Just my opinion.

Mike,

We don't cater to sponsors, ever. We simply don't allow non-sponsors to exploit the board disingenuously for their own benefit. To do so would destroy the value of sponsorship and thus the means of funding the operation and maintenance of the board. That's all.

Thanks,

Blake

My post was for the good of the board, in my opinion.EDITED FOR THIS SENTENCE" You are, however, correct in that I should not have even brought up that I am a sponsor. I did not mean it the way it read(exactly)." If this thread benefits you in any way, please accept my sincere apology for stepping on toes. If you guys want to poke each others eyes out, so be it. You just need to do it elsewhere(again, my opinion). This thread was started so one man could apologize to another. It has denegrated into what it is now.
I say if you want to pay dues....have at it. Write the check. Don't just talk about it. All your wishes can truly be realized.

I hope no one will take offense to my post(s) as none was intended.
