Hi guys,

As if I'm not frustrated enough that I can't buy a Buell yet I stumbled on the internet across this beauty.... What do you guys think of this one!!

13750 euro's, and at a Harley dealer 40 kms away from where I live.... I really need a quick and easy money scheme And a way to convince 'la chica' that she will perfectly fit on the back

Or do you guys think it is better to buy a stock bike and personalize it yourself?

Nice.

Getting rid of La Chica will increase your positive cash flow. There are a lot more wimins than Buells. Trying to help.

looks sweet. even though i'm not a fan of applying HD colors to a Buell that one looks really good. love the paint scheme on the wheels. very cool idea.

the Buell sticker on the frame looks like the dealer or someone just slapped it there. if you snag that bike, ditch the sticker ;)

as far as used vs. new, i like starting fresh and doing everything on my own. fun to build your vision over the life of the bike. plus you know how it was treated from day one rather than always wondering.

either way, thats a sweet ride. good luck!

I like it, except for the aforementioned sticker, and they already got rid of the
amber color on the wheels for you! Of course there is something about buying
someone else's idea of what a custom bike should be, but I'm sure you have your own
ideas about what you would like to do with it given a chance.

I'd be thinking hard about letting "La Chica" go to get that bike, but that's on you!

Lets seee....quick money...what's your blood type? they pay good money for type O,
and you could always sell your BMW!

Luvinit,
If you want a cheap used XB euro spec, best place to buy is UK, look here, www.biketrader.co.uk
Only thing you might have to change would be the headlamp for one that dips the continental way.
You live in Belgium so you shouldn't have any trouble registering.
pm me if you need more info.

selling the Beemer is of course a necessity...

But since I bought it a few months ago, and it was 7 year old then... I would still need to cough up more than half the price :-)

I'm reading on a lot of forums about people having 2 (or more!!) bikes?

Do you guys need to insure them separately in the US?

I'm not keen on buying a used bike ever again!! Mostly it's psychologic...my baby needs to be MY baby....

Both of my Bikes are insured on the same policy and with the discount it is basically like my second bike is free : ) In the case of my brother his insurance is actually cheaper for 2 bikes than it is for one with the discount..

Well.... that's interesting...

back when I still had a car, the insurance on my bike was cheaper... (approx 400 in stead of 620 euro's per year)

But now, if I would get a second bike, the insurance would simply double!!! cuz they only discount when you own a four wheeled vehicle and add a two wheeled vehicle

I love the color! Is it priced according to the kilometers on it, how does it sound?

When I bought mine I could have saved $2000 buy buying the same bike used with 5000 km's on it, I turned it down because of a light knock in the top end.

I'm cheap but a 2 year warrenty versus a knocking used bike just cut it. I also have multiple bikes and each one gets insured seperatly.

I really like the skunk stripe! I'd change the windscreen out for a Zero gravity
double bubble, or st in light smoke, put some billet front pegs on it, and roll!

Assuming it has the race ECM installed.

You know just looking at the background of your pics there shows the difference in how
much support Buell gets in Europe versus here in the states aside from a few dealerships
Like Appleton, Stone Mtn, Liberty, etc.. Is it any wonder they sell so well over there?

I don't know about the support....yet ..... but I do know that when the City X was released, I knew about it, and the dealer near me didn't know what I was talking about....

so...there went my confidence

but the one where the pictures come from seems to know what he's doing

Brian... yes, My dealer too has an incredible showing of Buell Strength. The showroom consists of just as many Buells as HD's.... which is very good for an HD dealer. And they seemed to be knowledgable as well.

A European Buell Sales exec asked me if I'd be trading up to a new Uly from my old M2 & was very surprised when I said no.
I told him I'd be keeping the M2 but I might buy a used Uly as a second bike in a few years time as I never buy new.
He asked me why not & I replied, depreciation, you lose too much money on new.
He then said (naturally) yes but you get the peace of mind of a new bike with a guarantee. So I said, Is it not reliable then?
He was tied up in knots trying to sell me.

I know this isn't for everyone but I do my own spannering & absolutely hate the thought of wasting money by lining other peoples pockets. I buy used in the cheapest European market which varies hugely.
This go's for cars trucks campers whatever, use the internet, do your research.
You could buy a 2-3 yr old XB12 for less than half the price of that one & spend some of the difference doing your own thing on it.
(just my €2 worth)

Luvinit...

If your Chica is like mine, she is going to love that seat.

Not only does it have the propensity to arouse her "Id" which can significantly reduce the foreplay unless you have nothing else to do for the next few hours.

Just make sure you always take a rest break in a secluded location. The Id is an impulse thing and, if not properly cared for, her's can backfire on your best intentions.

AKA: Dr. Ruth's Test Animal. LOL

Oh, Oh...perhaps this should have been posted on SacBorg. I may get banned posting this on the BWB.

as the front fairing and airbox cover are plastic..... I'm wondering, can they easily be repainted on a stock bike.... and is this expensive?
