any know this off hand? the largest i got was 7mm. im going to the store tomorrow to buy a larger set! Im sure its a standerd also.

Yep, standard. I believe it's a 5/16, but someone will correct me if I'm wrong.

Instead of the allen wrench, you may want to consider buying the equivelent socket.


These are much more durable and allow you greater and more accurate torque.
Cost more, but last longer and work better.

I just measured,it's an 8mm socket with a 10mm(.3937 inch) thread. The sockets above would be best,especially in conjunction with a torque wrench.

While you are at it, a set of Torx sockets would come in handy. Wal-mart sells a Stanley set that includes the elusive #27 for under $20.00.

If you're not really using them all the time, I got a second set from Harbor Freight for dirt-cheap - 9 bits for $10

so it is metric? I thought it was a standerd, good thing i didnt make it to the store today! I was just at harbor freight 3 days ago and forgot to pick on up! I think i will go for the sockets. I have a torque wrench that is in in. pounds. Does anyone know the right torque settings for when i wanna put the rear pegs back on?
