I don't think so. Follow the big wire from the voltage regulator (which you can see right on the front of the bike).

Troll, the stator is in the primary side.

On the tubers the wiring is Black / black exiting from the primary side behind the rear cylinder,( left side ) passing under the starter going down to the oil pump area on the cam chest side of the motor,
[ right side ]

where the stator wires exit the case on the tubers

the stator will have 2 wires coming out to a plug going to the VR, wires comming from the VR to other connectors, a breaker(older bikes) then to the harness & battery

hard for me to say yes or no
But easy to figure out, the timing sensor is 3 wires, soo its not that,
the heavy red / black are like Reepi indicates, likely from the VR,(power to the system from the regulator)
ALL of the other VR (voltage regulators) I have seen look like this, the black thing with the silver lines on the top.

see where the wires are here, your regulator is probably the same, follow those wires if they go to the grey plug in the pix you posted then thats likely it.

do the voltage test and the resistance test to ground, as described in earlier posts..

If I had an XB to look at I could tell you for sure
