Sorry for being away for awhile. I got out of Korea in Feb. and took 30 days of r/r in Cali and got to Fort Jackson on March 16th. I've been really busy getting settled in here and wanted to get everything taken care of before getting sucked back into the darkside of the force.

I originally was working as an MP patrol officer when I first got here. Fort Jackson has a nice centralized ESC and has put a lot of money into good equipment and training. Got my first dose of OC (OUCH!!) and already got to go through a hostage course with Columbia PD. I've also been looking at going through the reserve officer course in Lexington and serving with them part-time as well.

Had a little hiccup a week ago when I broke my ankle during a combatives course. Looks like I'll be off it for a few months, and in the meantime I'll be working as a dispatcher in the 911 center. It's actually pretty decent because I'll be able to get certs on e911 and NCIC while I'm there.

Still looking for a bike, don't know when, where, what, or how, but I'd really like to be up and riding by the time BRATPAC 2 heads my way in Sep. Sorta sucks though because the nearest decent Buell dealer is about 150 miles away. I did buy a truck though, so at least when I do get a bike I got something to cart it around in.

Anyway, saw some people asking about me, wanted to say hi, and everything is (besides the clutch foot) going fairly well.

I am also fine-tuning plans for a certain memorial idea for Gordon Buhle. Wanted to put that out there so it's fresh in peoples minds and I'll release details soon. Just waiting on the go-aheads from a few people.

Take care to all, and keep in touch....

Wade - from the Frozen Chosen to Columbia South Carolina! At least in doesn't smell like kim-chi! No S--- GI, it's good stuff.

Glad you are in the land of the big PX and thanks for your service.
