I thought this needed to be done.

There's a long list of people I need to thank for all that transpired in Daytona, I hope I don't forget anybody

First and foremost the KCLW gang that talked me out of flying and into hauling the bike down. Secondly for their exemplary respect for our hosts, thirdly for the multiple bike washes, who knew it was white?

also like to send a MAJOR thank you Nick and Sammie's way. a small portion of our trip but a big portion of the Buell experience...get well soon

and begrudgingly to the cook...those who helped provide food/drink, and the rest of Badweb for our entertainment Friday night. nice to meet each and every one of you!

DaveS and Penny, Thanks for remembering my T-shirt, I can't believe you hauled it (with everything else) all the way to Daytona! Penny, the cookies arrived with the shirts, in the mail, and I didn't share them with anyone, the cookies that is you two ROCK! we had a great time at lunch with the both of you and I will E-mail you the pictures from the beach! hope to do it again soon!

Paul James from Buell! thank you for the shipment! very cool of you! hope to see you at the races in Topeka!

also like to thank Buell! for giving me a reason to be in Daytona with family and friends......... and for giving me a dog in the fight. it was a great time! I know you all worked super hard and I thank you for that too!

Court Canfield, I can't leave you out, the T-shirts were an awesome Idea, I would never have expected to see sooooo many people in buell attire! that was way cool! It was nice to finally meet you at Nick's, our paths have nearly crossed on numerous occasions it was good to finally shake your hand!

Thanks to Blake and Badweb

If I left you out.....my apologies

thanks to all of you, let's do it again!

Thanks Sam. That was really nice of you. I agree, thanks to you Sam and to everyone for helping to make the event as good as it could possibly be.

To clarify, Charlie and LaFayette (his lady maybe? : ) ) were the chefs primo supreme; my efforts were more akin to that of fire control and trying to avoid showing up on some funniest home video episode.

My special personal thanks go out to Court's boss who was so perceptive, astute and on the ball that upon arrival she almost immediately took note of an egregious lack of bread-stuff for the burgers and dogs and made an heroic emergency run to the grocery store thus saving the day.

Thank you Vickie!

And for those of us who took advantage of it, hotel Moody was first rate! Though I fear that the animals will never be the same. : ]

Thanks for your amazing hospitality Sammie and Nick!

A huge thanks to everyone. I can't name them all, but Lafayette started running all over half of Florida several weeks ahead in preparations, Nick and Sammie WOW!. . . the cooks, . . . . . .

But most of all thanks to all the Buell owners who came from far and wide to get together.

I've been doing this about as long as anybody and that's always the best part of the deal. People you've never met and within seconds it's like family.

Thanks to all of you . .

Kandie and I had a great time too. Glad you got your cookies. Good aren't they?
Always good to meet new Buellers and see friends.
Big thanks to Nick and Sammie for putting up with all of us!

First, thank you to Nick and Sammie. It was a great thing for you to do, and I had a great time.

And second, thank you to everyone who was there, particulary how respectful you were of Nicks house and neighbors.

And finally thanks to everyone who helped me pick my bike up after I dropped it in Nicks front yard.

Sammie & Nick, Awesome!!!!!

Blake,

I got evidence of you cooking -- don't have it with me -- with your co-chef M1.

Jim,

You dumped your bike in Nick's yard and there's no pictures? You're a very lucky man. ('.')

Daytona rocked! Can't wait until next year.

Oh yea. Almost 2 years of riding and thats the first time I've let one touch the dirt. Makes a great first impression. At least it was dark.

dark = not a lot of people saw ya.
dirt/grass = soft landing.

and in court story-telling style - "remind me to tell you" about me dropping a v-rod with a whole group behind me....

LOL - Dora, you told me that story on Nicks back porch about 15 minutes before my "incident." And I was sitting there thinking "wow, how embarassing, glad it wasn't me!"

You are all VERY welcome! We'll do it again in '07, minus my bodily injjuries!
Blake, I am happy to say that I didn't have to replace a single screen around the pool due to fire damage! No one had to leap into the water due to a grilling mishap.

Steve: well, I am standing with the aid of a walker and taking baby steps. A few more weeks to go till the next ortho appt and they let me put pressure on that left knee. I am working out every day and building my arm strength and hip strength. I am getting seriously tired of the wheelchair already. I have tried getting into Sammie's truck but it is too tall....soo I am home bound for now. Good note is that Sammie takes me for strolls down the sidewalk around the neighborhood.
In short, I am getting better every day. Just not near as fast as I would like, but faster than anyone thinks I should.

Thanks again to every single one of you for being such good friends during this entire ordeal. Sammie and I really appreciate all of you!

Nick

Did you arrange to fix up the bike yet?

Thanks, Nick and Sammie. Your hospitality was overwhelming. It was great to finally meet you two, and all the rest of you Buellers (talk about a dis-functional family we all are!).
Also thanks to those who cooked up the bbq - it was great, but spicy-whoo!
And thanks to whomever supplied the cool Buell racing t-shirts. I wear mine proudly.

Steve: I haven't ordered the parts yet but I am planning on it. I have decided to keep the bike and get back in the saddle when I can. Sammie is still standing fast on buying a big Harley but she is cool with me getting back on the Buell.

Great news from yesterday. I went out for a new attempt at getting into her truck and did it! Freedom at last! We went all over and that was the first time I have left home since the accident not on a gurney!

Glen: It was awesome meeting you and Glenda! You guys are just plain cool! I think you bettr hold onto your wallet now that Sammie has given Glenda the website addy.

I hope you all have a great weekend! It is cold here in Central Florida today! Excellent riding weather!

"Your welcome" to those who liked the BBQ... it's amazing what one can do with the microwave in the hotel room...
And a Big THANK-YOU to Nick and Sammie for their patience and understanding of what it means to be a BadWeb-ber!

Blake: I think Ellwood is going through Blake and Ralph withdrawals.

Brian: Like Court says: "remind me to tell you someday". The whole cookout thing started with "hey let's see if anyone would like to stop by". Honestly I expected about 10 or 20 takers. It then grew from just friday to Friday and Saturday, and then grew some more. Sammie and I both could not have been more pleased. I honestly have to brag on the Badwebbers and every other "non-Bueller" that attended. Our home and each individual were treated with the utmost respect. It says volumes for everyone here that we had a gathering that large with no harsh words uttered and not one single problem. There was that chick with the poneytail that kept riding wheelies down the street though!
I have already said this, but have to say it again.....make your plans for '07!

Nick and Sammie

I sure enjoyed getting to know Elwood. He's a great dog for sure. : )

I'll always remember changing the flat tire on the rental car with the expert repair services and tools of LaFayette and the pit crew assistance from Don, and thank goodness for your compressor too!

Hanging the window treatments was fun too. We got 'em perfect I think. : )

Heck, playing taxi driver was even fun. First time I've ever had two blondes riding in a convertible with me. And the REALLY cute one even rode up front. : D

The only real crisis I saw was when we almost ran out of Kool-Aid and Don started to go into convulsions. joker Or that might have been just after he stuck his head into the dyno room while Wes was running Pammy's X1 through its paces. joker
