Sweet. I got the bike out of storage this week and have it in my new garage share/rental space. Nice to commute to work properly again!

Fritz.. Hows the road salt issue up there? Also how are those tires working out for you, I need to replace mine and was curious how they were holding up.

Salt? Yes there's some of that, not piles of it on which a bike could slide on, but enough so that your bike looks white afterward.
All the holes in "the wall" are fixed, and there was just a bit of water on the southbound side due to the ice melting on the mountain.

My current tires are diablos. Only put them on this past fall while in LaValle MD at the Buell Adv. As a result I've only got 1500 miles on them.
Not sure how I like them as compared to the Dunlop 207's & 208's I've run so far.
This is my third set of tires on the bike and I'm not even up to 14,000 miles yet.
These damn soft-compound tires sure dont last long!

Saint, those Diablos are gonna last you quite a while, do you have the SuperSports, or the Stradas?

Ok so today brought 68 degree temps in this here neck of the woods. I got out of work "early" and proceeded to air up the tires on my Firebolt. I wheeled her out of the basement and stabbed the starter. I got a couple of turns of the starter then the dreaded staccato clacks of a battery gone dead. I tried again and got a few more starter revolutions and then nothing. The firebolt always started within one or two revolutions of the motor so I am guessing that the FI system has a minimum voltage requirement that will allow the engine to fire. I hadn't had her on the trickle charger for some time. My fault entirely. I took her back inside hanging my head in shame and hooker her up to the necessary trickle of current. Perhaps tomorrow will bring the rumble of life.

Oh well. I started up the Kawi Concours (who had been charging happily I must add) and proceeded to rip up the roads in my locale anyway.

It was a good day to ride, and I hope 218 is open for the season.
