A golden oldie - Ducati's GP3 leaving the pit lane. Just listen out for the spine-tingling 16,000 rpm in 2nd woo-hoo

And how is your 916, Rocket - hibernating peacefully until this snow has gone I hope ?

Actually 12, I've not ridden it in anger for nearly a year. I know I finally got the big Buell back on the road last June, which is wonderful, but my steroid medication, and lethargy from those and the thyroid condition I had, meant I gained weight. Not exactly built like your average racing snake to start with, putting on around 50lbs in such a short time made riding the Duc nigh on impossible.

My health and fitness are well on the way to recovery now though. I've started back at the gym. That's something else I'd not been able to do for nearly a year either, so hopefully my weight will start to drop off enough for me to get back on the 916.

I do miss riding that bike. It really is something unlike any other fast bike you'll ever ride, and it's addictive. I just don't know of another bike that handles and performs like a 916. To put that into perspective, the best way I can describe it is by saying, when you see Duc's on the race track ridden by the stars, riding your own in anger lets you know a little of how they make it look so do-able, if that makes sense.

Man I miss riding that bike big time.
