Be advised - tooth fairy rates have escalated drastically over the last few years. Coins of any denomination (exception: Krugerands or others with gold content) are passe. 1$ bills are also looked upon w/disdain by most 5 - 6 year olds. You may need to do some quick research to find the going rate in your area. Contact local Tooth Fairy Union to schedule midnight visit. Congrats! The tooth fairy at my house used to work on an exchange basis. Tooth Fairy got an itty bitty kid tooth, said kid got a big honkin' shark tooth or animal fang of some sort. All the other kids at school the next day thought our tooth fairy was way cooler than their tooth fairy. | ||

Lowflyer...we must have teh same fairy...She got one of those gold dollars...and BIG gappy smiles!!!!!! I like the exchange idea for my son when he gets old enough though... It was a big day for sure...she also went for her first motorcycle ride with MOM on her Sportster...MORE GAPPY TOOTHLESS SMILES!!!!!!!!! (Now it is motorcycle related too!!) | ||

AHHHH don't tell me these things!! My five year old informed my wife and I a couple of weeks ago that she had a loose tooth. We thought, no way, much to early. Crap, just when it looked like the daycare bill would go down, now I have to pay dues to the local tooth fairy union. Plus, the dentist says start saving for braces! gbr | ||

Earlier this month, mine lost her first tooth and less than a week later, her second. In total, it cost me $6 and a trip to Baskin Robbins. But it was a very small price to pay...  | ||

I hope it wasn't a traumatic experience like I had. As soon as I showed my mother my first loose tooth, she was hovering over me with some tweezers and yanked it out by the root. That damn quarter I got in 1967 wasn't enough. It was the last time I ever showed my parents a loose tooth - a hard lesson to learn so early. To this day, they think I still have all my baby teeth. | ||

It cracks me up...my wife told me, "Everyone has a HORRIBLE memory of having their tooth pulled by their Dad..." I guess because I kept asking my Daughter if she wanted me to pull it out for her?  Her reaction would always make me laugh...I guess I am a little twisted | ||

My step-daughter gets her braces off in a couple of weeks .. we are planning a party for her with all the food that she has not been able to eat for the past 3 years ... my step-son has had about 5 teeth pulled and still has some serious horse teeth in his mouth and will need braces in a few years .. my daughter is coming up quickly on her 3rd birthday .. and my wife and I are hoping that she will not need braces too ... |
