When I want to post a web site in a message, I copy and paste, but I don't know how to have it appear so that the reader can just click on it. I'm not very computer savy. I see it is done here all the time. Would someone tell me how to do it.

Right over the "preview/post message" button at the bottom of the screen is a checkbox that says "Automatically activate URLs in message" Make sure there is a check in that box.

Thank You, Do you know of a way to do this if attaching to a regular E.Mail. When I do it, it doesn't have the underline, just the address.

OldYoungster -- it will look like that on your screen -- the person you send it to will almost certainly see it underlined

old_man. the Automatically making URL's clickable in a mail client is a function of the mail client. You can try adding the http:// in the front of the URL that you would like the person to be able to click, but it all depends on weather or not the receiving person's mail client supports it or not (most seem to).

Old_man - At the bottom of the page is the Help/Instructions link. That has all the info on formatting your posts.

In this case you want to look at Formatting, Other Formatting, and Hyperlinks. The thing you asked about is inserting a web site or URL as a hyperlink. Here comes a demo - You can read about it here.

The amount of info you need to remember to do that is not that much. After you do it a few times it becomes pretty simple to do it from memory.

Old_man,

I'm glad you asked the question, I was wondering how to make the URL appear as just underlined text like in Jack's email above. Cool.

Most Microsoft products if you are inserting a link you need to put a space after the address. Not a return, but just a space.
