There's no way I can express how much I appreciate the support I've received from folks on this board. I've got my wife, my kids, extended family, and a large contingent of Badwebbers -- it means so much more than motorcycles, than rides, than fixes,,,,this is life and we're dealing with it.

Just saying Thank You doesn't seem expressive enough, but at the moment that's all I can do.

We just stocked up on oxygen tanks and we'll be transporting mom back to the Pumpkin Center area tomorrow and we'll need huge amounts of blessings for the trip. She's medically stable, but it's a long ride for her.

Dad has to stay up north for at least a week. They're going to stint a 95% blockage in the AM and then monitor him. As long as he remains stable I'll be coming back up to get him back to the Charlotte area for the big procedure.

It could be much worse and I know that,,,we continue to pray for the best outcome possible.

Thanks for all the prayers, advice, stories, emails, all of it. Thank you!

So far so good! Mom's resting easy in NC, near my home, and my little guy, BoogM2, and my middle daughter, Jen on BWB, are off on a grandpa-napping mission this weekend. I'm feeling better and better as each day passes. That's not to say we don't have a butt-load of legal crap and paperwork to deal with, but who really cares when it comes to ones parents?

A huge thanks to all the well wishers during the past 10 days or so. If I were to start mentioning folks by name I'd forget someone and then feel like a big dummy, so Thank You Badweatherbikers for you support, prayers, good thoughts, and well wishes.

Life will get back to normal and I have to be patient. If you are fortunate enough, today, to have a healthy parent, or parents, give them a hug and tell them you love them or call them up and tell them. Don't let the day pass because only God knows what tomorrow may bring.

Hope this finds everyone well. Here's the latest on my parents:

1. Dad has to get one more stint. He'll then go in a two week holding pattern prior to open heart/valve replacement. That's good stuff right there. He's 'hanging' at the house until we get him fixed up. My wife is riding herd on him pretty tight :-) She's not the RN you would normally want to deal with (10+ years as a Hospice Nurse gives people a whole different outlook on life.)

2. Mom got to go outside in a wheelchair two days this week. BoogM2 was driving so I'm pretty sure that Grandma had fun (that boy ain't right as the Daytona crowd will soon learn.)

God continues to bless us and we're thankful. I 'stole' BoogM2's bike this AM and rode the old tuber to work -- sweet too. I rolled out of Pumpkin Center @ 5:30AM and it was right around 40 degrees. Cold? Yea, a little bit, but it wasn't nipple busting cold and I always enjoy playing combat commuter with the Charlotte traffic. A great 50 mile ride that left me feeling refreshed and smiling when I arrived at work.

Daytona baby!!!!! Go Buell!!!!!!!!!!!!

Recent Update:

I'd like to send out a big THANK YOU for all the prayers and positive thoughts -- the response from Badweb was, uh, well, freaking amazing.

Dad went through the surgery this past Friday. He had a valve replaced and 3 (IIRC) bypass procedures. As of Sunday afternoon he was able to sit up in a chair, eat a little bit, crack a few jokes, show some interest in the Texas NASCAR race, and to be honest he looks pretty good.

If things continue to progress in such a positive way we hope to have him out of the ICU by late tomorrow.

Once things normalize (whatever that may be) ya'll will be seeing me and Boog back out and about -- hopefully for the next C3 run.

Once again THANK YOU Badweb,,,take care.
