Check out this website.
It has 'cheats' for over 400 different companies and how to get a live human on the phone without waiting for hours or going through a million prompts.
Good site to bookmark :}

Thats a great list. I do phone systems and Data networking for a living- like the list implies, you usually just need to hammer the zero button.

Another "trick" is to refuse to push buttons, and get trapped in the menu maze. Act as if you still have a rotary phone.
Most systems will put you through to an operator after it cycles through the top menu twice.

I needed to urgently speak to someone in my bank in the UK one day so I called the old number, from France & got transferred to a call centre, in India, who, after making me repeat my request to 2 or 3 different people, eventually relayed me to a customer service centre, in Scotland, who passed me on to my bank.
Geographically I was nearer than any of the others to the person I spoke to in the bank!
I wish there was a Euro version of that site.

I alway enjoy building menus that send you back to the beginning after you get 4 or 5 levels deep.
