I know Charlie Rauseo personally and have spent time with Mike Krynock and Robb McElroy as well.

Maybe Buell can build their bikes next year.

Write the K&N folks too if that story pans out. That is just plain un-American!

Hey Court,

I think you need to call your buddy EB and tell 'im we ELVs need a Ulyblast, or something like that, for our experienced Dakar pilot next year. All he's gotta do is make it a little lighter, faster, more reliable, better handling, and better sounding than one of those TKM's or KTW's or... Let's call it the TKO. Oh, and some titanium untwistable forks, too. Oughta be a walk in the park for him. We gotta get Pete back on a Buell.

Pammy for pit crew boss. No, no, not PR boss, that's crazy. It's pit crew... PC boss.

We got Blake for PR.

(We already got our website doctor. We just need him on site.)

Actually.....I was way ahead of you. The Buell, any Buell for that matter, is light years from being Paris-Dakar eligible.

Prior to the Uly coming out, and having the details, I was lobbying, in hopes it might be legal, that we get an early one in the hands of Peter. Pete has the skill, if we were going to have the bike, the marriage made sense.

The Ulysses, arguably the Buell that "looks" the role, meets few of the eligibility requirements.

For now, the best we'll have in the race is a "Buell Guy" pilot in Peter. The fun of watching him prepare and comPETE has brought back some great memories of the past few years.

I can see, and Pammy and Wes could certainly do it, some sort of an independant BLAST based effort in the future.

I'd love to see it happen for a Buell to compete some day. Unfortunately I know a couple of high level KTM folks, and this is absolutely their style. The workers and technical folks there are good guys, but the management and marketing are as evil as they come.

Well, read up on Jonah Street, the Team Rally Pan America star. The T in KTM approached Jonah at the last bivouac and inquired about Jonah riding for KTM ...Jonah said NO!

Take that KTM!

Jonah has passed the top riders, but when things get straightened out they pass him because their bikes have about 5 more hp. He has finished 3rd and 5th in the last 2 stages.

OLN is a sham!

Yes Anonymous...We(Don and I,at the Love Ride) remember the story about the meeting with the Head Honchos of HD and the KTM Rep.Sad , Sad person. It has fended me away from that brand for quite a while.Along with that horribly designed plastic on the Superduke.Too bad that company wasn't taken from their hands at the time ,could have removed that person and utilized those Engineers!Oh well....ULY...Rock ON !!!!!

Jonah finished the last stage 2nd! How about that! He is now 18th place overall.

Go American Privateer, Go!!

And right on MIke Krynock, who has been riding with a broken wrist since stage 3. He has steadily moved up since that bad stage and is in 86th place right now.

That would be cool....
Word on the street is that the big engines will be allowed back in again next year, now that the speed limit is in force.
A Blast engine would work with the current regs though ;)
