The dent in the header is formed to provide clearence.

Plenum has a secondary fuel rail that kicks in at 8K rpm w/ boost.

The red gadget connected to the waste gate is the boost controller. Attached to that is an adjustable valve to augment the boost controller.

How's it sound? Bad to the bone.

Where will the tailpipe ultimately be located and which direction will it be pointing?

Isn't that kind of a drag, aerodynamically speaking?

Blake, JB is going to build me a new fairing, when its finished we'll slash cut the pipes to match. Angle of pipe to bike is approx. 45 degrees.

Sandblast, I'm sure your plan is sound.

Ain't that a drag, aerodynamically speaking?

Meaning, blowing the massive exhaust plume out the side is far from optimum aerodynamically. More drag means less traction for accelerating. Suggest you point it aft. The small pipe bend exposed to the airstream will be of negligible effect.

Here's a good layman's explanation of the issue...

You are welcome. I also hear that riding in a speedo outstretched with belly on the seat is good for some extra velocity too. : ]

FMJ,

Where are you staying for sppedweek. We'll prbably be bringing a couple of bikes again this year. Buell for sure. May try for World Finals depending on financing. Saving up my money for a shot at m-g class with my street rod in 07. Pammy and Wes think they cam make some hp with that motor.
