You can pose by a Mt. Dora sign so I can take a photo so you may amuse not me but everyone!!!
How about that?

Seriously, that Sugar Loaf Mtn.-Mt. Dora-Orl. ride is a good one. Especially for central FL.

Frank, I'll update the Lakeland Buell webpage as soon as possible.

+1 for Mt.Dora - that's a cool little town.

Thanks Mike! I am waiting on some parts from Appleton, and Dave thinks they will get here in time, so hopefully I will be there!

And I think I will play it safe and reserve comment on the added idea of a group and Mount Dora...

mike748 - get the word out to the lakeland BRAG folks please. i just heard back from lafayette and he's in kentucky without his laptop. i went on a lakeland ride back in march/april this year, and it was a nice group. would be fun to see some folks again.

Angelwild - come on up!

Cataract - what happened to your job, i thought you were working when we went riding earlier this year?

Sting56, Spinzealot, and VegasBueller - this is your official kick in the pants to get your parts together and come out for a new years ride. get your bikes fixed!

Hey Al...
Right now I just need a handful of hardware. The thing started shaking itself apart last week. I got the backfiring/cutting out issue fixed. (ala...new kickstand switch!!) When I changed the oil about 500 miles ago, I check everything as usual, hitting most of the hidden hardwae with a wrench just in case. Now, the other night when I got home I noticed that the front header flange was dangling down on the header, from there I noticed that the front muffler mount bracket bolt was gone, and the front case through bolt was gone as well. Now, how all this happened in a matter of a few days, I have no idea but it did. I have all the parts ordered from Dave and he thinks they should be here in time. If you just happen to have some spare parts laying around, well then I might borow them if we can't get them here. I really hate to miss this! I haven't been on a group ride since we started the BRAG chapter in Las Vegas!

Thanks!
Nick

Hey Nick,
If you are talking about those Torx head bolts that hold the muffler cover/spoiler on I probably have some in the spares box. I'll get with you later in the week and check your progress. In the future if you need Buell parts quick, check with Eddie Del Toro at Peterson's H-D North (Miami). Eddie is an enthusiast and parts shipped UPS ground (the cheapest way) are next day delivery in Florida. Did I mention Eddie is a very Buell friendly kinda guy?

Hey Al,
The fairing bolts were the least of my worries. I would have just left it off if that was all that was missing. I'll give Eddie a try next time. Great to know that we have at least one Buell friendly guy in Florida. I called to NSB Harley for the battery and asked for one to fit "an 03 XB9R" and the guy replied "a what?? Who makes that??"
It's just that Dave has always been very fair on pricing, and I know without a doubt that he either stocks or will get what I need in a flash.

Dora:

While you are there, do not miss the chance to meet RICH CADIE.

He's quite and you'll have to seek him out. But, he's a member of the REAL OLD BUELL SCHOOL.

Well worth pickin' the brain of. . .

Enjoy and have fun. I'm looking forward to getting to FL if only for 36 hours at Daytona. This would be a terrible year to miss Daytona.

Cataract2 ,

I was thinking of a ride around Lake Apopka ending back at a Hooters on Kirkman Rd. not far from Orl HD and I-4. We'll see what the gang wants to do though.

He's the one on the right.

He'll probably be there. Me? Maybe, maybe not. I'm over in the St Pete area near Cycle Rama.

Heads up, I see a frontal system coming down and the weather man is saying clear skies for the weekend. Well, judging by his current record (or lack there of) in predicting the weather I think we need to keep a close eye on this. Otherwise, get out your rain gear. I'm up to riding in anything.

Great, riding and a b-day party. What more could we ask for?

Dora, going to rent a bike or no? Plus, we still want a picture of you in front of the Mt. Dora sign.
