Jim, that's cool. "The Invaders" used to scare the crap out of me when I was a kid.

I remember as a kid in the 60's always looking forward to the yearly "new shows" issue of TV guide because there might be "a" science fiction show this season! It boggles my mind that there is more sci-fi on network television (much less the cable networks) than I can keep up with.

Maybe you didn't get them in the states but I'm sure Rocket will back me up on some great shows,

Thunderbirds,

Stingray,

Captain Scarlet,

Joe 90,

If you get a chance to see any of the original shows don't miss 'em, it's great TV that still stands up today.

I can't believe you guys have left out:

Hawaiian Eye, with Joseph Conrad & Connie Stevens(Cricket Blake)
77 Sunset Strip, with Edward "Kookie" Burns, Ephram Zimbalist JR
Hawaii 5-0, with remember,"Book him, Dano!"
Twilight Zone, with Rod Sterling

Yes, I liked "Then Came Bronson", plus I liked a song that was played on that show; "Heading on Down That Long Lonesome Highway".

"Rollin' down that long lonesome highway
Bound for the mountains and the plains
Ain't nothin' here gonna tie me
But maby some day I'll be back this way again

One of these days I'm gonna settle down
But 'til I do I won't be Hangin' 'round.

Rollin' down that long lonesome highway.
I'm gonna live life my way"

That's Great!!! Buellish, No way I would figure anyone would remember that tune!

I see in your profile you play guitar also.
Any chance you remember the chord changes for that song? Where would I find that tune?

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!

Bill,

I did a quick search for TAB for the song with no luck, but it was done by the show's star, Michael Parks. You can evidently get a "Best of Michael Parks" CD from Australia of all places; see here:

http://canetoadrecords.hankfacer.com/cir.htm

It would probably be worth checking ebay to see what's there.

More about the show at:

Your rig sounds pretty sweet.

Whodom,
Thanks, more info than I thought was out there!

I liked that song "Long Lonesome Highway", I see it listed on his Best of Michael Parks CD. If I get the CD I can figure out the chords, thanks.

I realize more and more, many Buell people are into music and guitars etc. Sounds like you play too?

Bill,

Glad to help. The guy with that website has been petitioning to get the TV series put out on DVD. I don't think I'd buy the boxed set, but I wouldn't mind renting them occasionally. I'm sure that show heavily influenced my interest in motorcycles.

Yea, I play bass and sing in a band. We did clubs for a while but we're strictly weddings and parties for the last several years.

Whodom,

When that show was on TV, I was bombing around on my 650 Triumph.

I played guitar in a band, but that was a long long time ago. I still sit down and jam with a few friends. I also enjoy playing a few other similar instruments. Now, I'm learning to play a Fender double neck Hawaiian steel(non-pedal) guitar.

Bill,
That is a tune I sing on the bike, for the last 30 some years. My riding buddies catch snippets of it when we stop at traffic lights.I've never thought to figure out the chords on the guitar.
I just picked up a lap steel and tuned it to open E.
I'm having a lot of fun with it.

Okay, I was only born in '77, so I was only able to catch re-runs, but my favorites were Speed Racer, Johnny Quest, The Munsters, Lost in Space, The Green Hornet...

My dad showed me a couple of things he watched when he was a kid - anybody ever watch Diver Dan?
