Jayvee,

You must have forgotten there is a robot in the movie. The one the media guy created and married. Can't remember the characters name but she was a robot.

Great movie for sure.

One of my favorite Sci-fi movies is Fifth Element. I think I have seen it 10 times and can still watch the darn thing. I don't know why but I just like it.

I think the Fifth Element is a kick *ss movie too.
The reason that it's so good is the same reason Serenity is so great; well written script, characters you're immediately captured by, all with just the perfect amount of humor.

One of my favorite scenes from the Fifth Element:

Alien badguy, "Send in some one to negotiate!"

I asked for, mainly because of this thread, and got Serenity for Christmas. It's outstanding!!

It's a great addition to my sci-fi collection.

Gort be with you...

This wasn't a test but I was curious how many, if anyone, would know Gort. A must have DVD for your collection and a TRUE classic!! "The Day the Earth Stood Still" - 1951

Fifth Element is supremely good, and Serenity incredible too. Blows my mind that neither are critically acclaimed nor made much money. Thank God they were made though, and hope to hell the film world makes more.

"Where did he learn to negotiate?"
