I'm sorry, but there's no other question or description that comes to mind when I see this but, "Would you hump a salamander?" 2005 Honda CBR900 Cobra Prototype http://www.totalmotorcycle.com/photos/prototype-spy-concept/Honda-2005-CBR900-Co bra-Prototype.htm What were they thinking??? |

I hate style for style's sake. That's exactly what that is. Why in the h3ll would you want that much weight so high on a sport bike? |

Looks like the head from the creature in the movie "Alien". |

I don't know- that bridge piece between the fairing and the tank cover likely weighs very little, and it may just beindented for a really cool chinrest. I know I always liked a tankbag to lean on, maybe this design allows one to relax the torso even more....you know...keep a reeaaaaaaalllllllll light touch on the controls by relaxing the back and shoulders |

I'm thinking you'd look real stylin' on that ride wearing a wifebeater and flip-flops. |

It looks like it'd be really aerodynamic - until you sit on it! |

Sit on it?! I think that has to be inserted with KY. |

Who has the factory spy? Polaris/Victory or Honda? The hunchback look must be in style. |

Looks very organic. However, I also think it looks like one of those failed attempts at beaming matter from one of those sci-fi B-movies. You know, where the test subject eggplant gets interwoven with the toaster. |

If you like it or not doesn't matter. Honda and Cobra have succeeded in what they set out to do, get you talking about the product. Any publicity is good publicity. |

the aerodynamics of that bike shouldn't have changed that much. much of the hump is eclipsed by the windscreen. The science goes like this.....drag = 1/2 D(density of the air)x A (frontal area)x Vsquared (Velocity). find frontal area by making a silouette of the motorcycle from the front. Except for air box volume I can't see any good reason for the hump though. I certainly wouldn't want fuel up that high. (Message edited by diablobrian on December 17, 2005) |

its probaly just a fancy airbox. You ca bet that Honda didn't just stick it together. They are some of the fastest bikes on the track, with reason. I don't like, nor would I buy it. But if given to me I sure would ride it. |

Honda didn't do it, Cobra did. A lot of Cobra's bikes have been done by Denny Berg in the past. Not sure about this one, but it isn't in-house honda. |

First thing that popped into my head, well, other than ugly, was Battle Cat from He-Man. |
